Have you gotten your 15 minutes of fame yet?

I doubt it. The most fame I've ever achieved was an article about my home schooling in my home town newspaper when I was a kid.

Unfortunately I took the annuity, so I get it in 30-second installments over the next thirty years.

Depends what you mean by fame. I've been on national TV and radio in the UK, and I write for a magazine with an international readership. But it's unlikely that you'd meet anyone who knows my name, other than people who know me in the usual way (eg, work, friends, etc), so I don't really think I can claim to be famous in any meaningful sense.

It depends what you mean by fame. I've been on national TV and in newspapers a few times in Australia, and was recognised by strangers afterwards. I got hate mail a couple of times. Does that make me famous?

I don't know. I was a little bit famous a couple of times, but it lasted longer than 15 minutes. Maybe one day I'll be more famous, for 15 minutes.

Thanks! I'm glad someone supports me. I told my parents and they said that maybe I should set my goals lower.

Their first instinct as parents is to try protect you from hurt or disappointment...It shows they love you immensely, to say something that silly!


Buy them a coolio condo when you're famous and rolling in dough and leave a note on the front door that says, "Told ya so!" with lots of hearts and kisses....
