| jettles | posted 5-Jun-2000 4:03pm i have 3 cats, and we are thinking about a dog. they are so different it is hard to compare. |
| Oscar | posted 5-Jun-2000 4:10pm Definitely a cat. (It only costs $40 to euthenize the average dog) |
| they | posted 5-Jun-2000 4:33pm It doesn't cost anything to euthanize Oscar unless you pay a hit man. |
| Oscar | (reply to they) posted 5-Jun-2000 5:55pm oh come on, the bullet's gotta cost you something... |
| mandy | posted 5-Jun-2000 6:17pm Would I? I do! I own a cat. I would like to own a dog too. |
| mandy | (reply to Oscar) posted 5-Jun-2000 6:18pm no...I'd do it with my bare hands for free, you sick excuse for a human. *smiles* |
| Oscar | (reply to mandy) posted 5-Jun-2000 6:20pm You can't take any sarcasm, can you? |
| hotgirl3663 | posted 5-Jun-2000 6:27pm I think that cats are too sneaky, and they are always around. The only member of the cat family i would take would be a tiger. |
| they | (reply to Oscar) posted 5-Jun-2000 9:24pm You must not have noticed my answer on the ginsu survey. |
| kirst | posted 5-Jun-2000 11:24pm cat--dogs are not practical for boats (although several of our neighbors own them) |
| SueBee | posted 5-Jun-2000 11:48pm I love them both. |
| SueBee | (reply to kirst) posted 5-Jun-2000 11:50pm But now a company has come out with a litter pan for dogs...would that help? |
| micah | posted 6-Jun-2000 5:13am Dogs are brave and cats are...p...p...petulant. Yes! Often petulant. They get on my nerves and histemines. |
| wesley | posted 6-Jun-2000 5:41am Dogs, they are eager to please. A cat just lies there and stares at you. |
| romkey | (reply to wesley) posted 6-Jun-2000 8:39am you've got the wrong cat then! |
| cpierson | posted 6-Jun-2000 10:34am Let's see ... a friendly, companionable creature, or a standoffish, spiteful thing that I'm allergic to. Tough call. |
| Jody | posted 6-Jun-2000 11:25am Both, if I wasn't allergic. |
| atugurl | posted 6-Jun-2000 8:34pm I was always a dog person and recently I adopted a cat from a shelter he was neutered and de-clawed, he is the most wonderful cat. He is loving and PLAYS ALL DAY long with my one year old!! I don't know what I would do if it weren't for his occupying my kid so I could get work done. I also have a dog but he is outside... very sweet thing though. It is a hard decision to make when I go to the pound of which one I want to take home, so I usually go for the one who is seeing its last days in the shelter. That way there I will know I saved a little life too. |
| atugurl | posted 6-Jun-2000 8:37pm By the way, my dog I had since I was 9 yrs old died just a couple of years ago so it really makes it hard to have another.. my dear sweet mandy did everything with me.. she slept when I slept, ate when I ate and just loved being near me... I havent felt as special since I lost her.. or maybe not as loved I don't know what it is I do know I miss her though |
| drdt | posted 7-Jun-2000 6:35pm I am not a pet person. |
| SueBee | (reply to atugurl) posted 9-Jun-2000 5:08pm I'm happy to hear that you enjoy rescuing animals from the pound. I wish more people would. Sorry to hear about your dog. I've always wished my pets would live longer. |
| daryan | posted 11-Jun-2000 10:55am I love cats |
| ayannahtaylor | posted 11-Jun-2000 5:05pm Cats are clean and finicky and royal creatures. Dogs are good guardians, a little smelly, but are o.k. |
| icurok | posted 14-Jun-2000 6:42am I'm allergic, so neither |
| TwistedIvory | posted 19-Jun-2000 12:24am My son is a cat and my girlfriend's daughter is a dog. Personally, I don't consider myself a 'dog person' or 'cat person' -- just an 'animal person.' |
| Ohoma | posted 25-Jun-2000 11:41am My first choice is always a rabbit, either Netherlands Dwarf or Mini Rex. Wonderful house pets, litter broken and all! And very loving, much like a dog or cat in attitude! My second choice is a wolf, which I hope to obtain one or two puppies from a breeder in the next 6 months. |
| Dusey | posted 26-Jun-2000 11:59am Dogs are so much more fun! |
| Jemmy | posted 1-Jul-2000 3:32pm I am a big cat person. Dogs are so messy and needy. You have to clean them, walk them, play with them... constantly. |
| anonymous | posted 3-Jul-2000 10:00pm A ferret is a far better pet then either of these |
