| jonathan | posted 5-Jun-2000 1:20pm There are lots of books and websites on career/job planning that are useful, from simple help-you-get-a-job resources to more complex what-am-I-doing-here-and-why sorts of resources. However, the first thing is to make sure you look at yourself in a positive way (I might be reading too much into your old-timer comment, if so I apologize in advance). If you see yourself as an old-timer and largely over/past life, so will other people and you'll have a harder time finding something appropriate for you. A friend told me about a scene from the "Golden Girls" TV show that is an example of this: An 80 year-old woman is applying to go into law school. Her daughter says criticizingly, "But Ma, you're going to be 84 when you get out!" She replies, "I'm going to be 84 anyways..." |

That said, you'll be 70 now... |
