| BlueberryMuffin | posted 1-Jun-2000 2:22am I did once and very successfully totaled my car on the front of an 18-wheeler. |
| Pollerbear | (reply to BlueberryMuffin) posted 1-Jun-2000 2:48am Wow....I hope that you were not injured. |
| pcpr | posted 1-Jun-2000 3:56am Yes, when I'm not paying enough attention. I always feel terrible when it happens and thank God it hasn't happened often. |
| BlueberryMuffin | (reply to Pollerbear) posted 1-Jun-2000 4:16am Amazingly I was carried away with only minor injuries. Apparently if the car had been any smaller (it was a huge, steel beast), if I had been any plumper (the steering wheel was pushed in about six inches from the seat), if I hadn't been wearing a safety belt, etc. I'd be dead now, but I was very lucky. It was nice of you to ask, thank you. |

| daver | posted 1-Jun-2000 10:09am Only in the rare instances when I feel it is safer than stopping. |
| Oscar | posted 1-Jun-2000 11:58am Yes. I just did it again the other day because my sister and I were trying to avoid her husband. Running the light was the only way out. I was accused of running a red light once when I didn't. I ended up hitting a guy in a Z28 (he ran the light, not me) and he was in the hospital for a few days with internal bleeding, facial lacerations, and a few other things. I still say it wasn't my fault, even though I got the ticket. |

| lelle | posted 2-Jun-2000 12:11am On the occasions when it would be safer to run it than to stop. (Most often because the person in the car behind me is showing no signs of attempting to stop. It happens far more often than I would like.) |
| joachim | posted 2-Jun-2000 3:49pm Another pants survey. I run them very infrequently but occaisionally. Actually I got pulled over for this a couple of months ago. But I have never done it on purpose - I just don't always make it through while the light is still yellow. |
| davec | posted 4-Jun-2000 4:03am I'm always impressed when I'm thinking "Oh my gods, I'm not making the Yellow, the light has turned Red, and I'm heading through the intersection." And then the next three cars behind me follow me accross the intersection. Happens to me all the time. |
