| ILJ | posted 1-Jun-2000 9:21am Dynasty tour, 1979, New Haven CT. It was my first ever concert. Ah, those were the days... |
| cpierson | posted 1-Jun-2000 9:41am Dammit, is it so hard to make a just plain "no" answer? Bad survey, no biscuit. |
| Jody | posted 1-Jun-2000 11:58am No, but I saw their movie Phantom of the Amusement Park, or whatever it was. It was extremely silly! |
| natsim | posted 1-Jun-2000 1:07pm Just plain No. |
| ILJ | (reply to Jody) posted 1-Jun-2000 1:25pm Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park. A true classic if ever there wasn't one. |
| seasall | posted 1-Jun-2000 3:43pm You couldn't pay me to go, however, I wouldn't call them stupid. |
| Jody | posted 1-Jun-2000 3:52pm Oh, and extra credit goes to anyone who has a copy of the comic book that was printed with ink into which they had each poured a vial of their blood. What a great publicity stunt that was! |
| ILJ | (reply to Jody) posted 1-Jun-2000 4:23pm Except that it didn't come off quite that way. (I know way more about this stuff than I'm proud to admit.) They did put their blood into the red ink, but the print job was delayed. As a result, the ink-infused blood ended up being used in an issue of Fantastic Four or Iron Man or something (I don't remember). By the time they printed the Kiss comic, all the bloody ink was gone. That didn't stop them from marketing it that way however. |
| mandy | posted 1-Jun-2000 7:47pm When Marilyn Manson was a child , he had a Kiss lunchbox and they told him he couldn't bring it to school....I guess because Kiss was too ...*ahem*...unholy? His dad also took him to a Kiss concert wearing full make up and he went around pretending he was really a member of Kiss...now, if my dad did that to me...I'd grow up to be the God of Fudge too. Parents...when will they learn...a kid can only take so much........ |
| Matt | posted 1-Jun-2000 7:48pm I'm going to be seeing them in concert for the third time June 22nd!. They put on an amazing show, I cant wait :) |
| Enheduanna | posted 1-Jun-2000 10:30pm No, and I have nothing to say. |
| Pollerbear | (reply to Matt) posted 3-Jun-2000 5:07pm I saw Kiss on their Farewell Tour recently in Oklahoma City (April 4)...It was the best rock concert I've ever seen...and I've been to LOTS of concerts! Where will you be seeing the concert? I know you'll have a blast! Enjoy! |
| Avocado | posted 3-Jun-2000 7:29pm Just plain no. |
| Matt | posted 3-Jun-2000 9:28pm I'm seeing them at the Molson Center in Montreal June 22nd. :) I'm really looking forward to it. I've already seen them twice and both shows were really great! They are the best band I've seen live so far! |
| Zang | posted 5-Jun-2000 8:42am Just plain no. |
| ILJ | posted 14-Jun-2000 11:03am Woo-hoo! I just saw them again last night at the Tweeter Center in Massachusetts. What a great show! Not the pinnacle of musicianship by any stretch (Peter Criss should really give up), but as a spectacle it was awesome. |
| joachim | (reply to ILJ) posted 20-Jun-2000 4:54pm A friend of mine went to that same concert. Apparently she got really drunk. I guess that would help one tolerate the music. |

The Edward Furlong movie had some funny parts though.
