The only time I ever felt really ill was when I went below deck to use the head on a sailboat in San Francisco Bay. It probably had something to do with the fact that the boat was listing over at about a 45 degree angle. I was fine after I went back up on deck in the fresh air.
I felt a little queasy one time on the cruise ship in the Pacific Ocean when the weather was rough, but I've never felt ill on a boat in Puget Sound. |

I don't get seasick; I love the motion of boats. |

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. |

Well, on the large boats I've been on, I've been fine. I've taken ferries out to Catalina Island (off the coast of California) and I've taken ferries around the Mediterranean, and encountered rocky seas on both, none of which left me ill. |

When I was on my cruise last year I felt a little sick the first night. I was fine after that, though, so it could have also been the fact that I was dehydrated. The motion of the ship probably just made it worse. |

OK, some of us *shudder* about it now. We did see some really cool whales, and boy did it feel good to get back on dry land. |

We used to take our boat out on lakes every weekend when I was a kid.. Every summer we would rent a houseboat for a week on a lake. I have never been seasick. I have not, however, been on a boat on one of the Great Lakes or the Ocean (which I hear is entirely different). |

I got incredibly seasick on a boat, but I never threw up. My friend did. |

I've felt queasy once or twice but only in really rough seas (or when I've been hungover!). It's a good thing as we live on a boat! |

Did you water ski, fish, or what? We did both of those when I was a kid, except I was too young to ski, so I just watched my older siblings. I LOVE boating. |

This should have been a single choice survey. Other than that, it's pretty good. |

My dad fished, and we did a little bit too.. but most kids don't have a whole lot of patience for fishing... My dad used to get pissed at me all the time for freeing his minnows or setting his worms free when I got out of the boat... We also did a little bit of tubing (we were too small to ski), grilling out, exploring, and swimming.. I loved it. |

It's all the DHMO that does it. |

You're right - this one should have been single choice. Sorry I missed that. |

Yes. and it was the worst feeling! |

No problem. I guess this is one that got through while I was asleep. |

Yep, been on plenty of different kinds of boats and never once felt even the slightest bit seasick. |
| wesley |
Yes. But I think it was more to being a rough lake than just the motion of the boat. |

I've been on many boats in all sizes. I just love the up and down motion of the boat, especially in a storm. |
