| ILJ | posted 24-May-2000 9:48am Bungle, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, 311, Stone Temple Pilots, Fantomas, No Doubt, and Living Colour (you spelled it wrong). Hardly a representative cross-section of my music collection, but that's what I have from this list. |
| cpierson | posted 24-May-2000 10:03am I own tapes. I checked the boxes off anyway. So there. :P Whoa. Thought I'd be the only Living Colour fan out there. |
| jjg | posted 24-May-2000 11:27am Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Garth Brooks. |
| Zang | posted 24-May-2000 4:39pm None of the above in any format. You forgot Helmet, I think that they belong on that list. |
| sequel | posted 24-May-2000 4:44pm For a few of these, I have tapes, not CDs...should I check those? |
| they | posted 24-May-2000 5:51pm A lot of these. |
| drdt | posted 24-May-2000 6:55pm I hope you will now tell us that a third of these aren't really bands. |
| drdt | posted 24-May-2000 6:56pm Zang: if James Taylor and Garth Brooks belong on that list, all bets are off. |
| Zang | posted 24-May-2000 7:26pm drdt: You are correct. I also was wondering how Garth Brooks got on there, I figured that maybe he bribed someone. |
| mandy | posted 24-May-2000 8:15pm Why do you ask? |
| Jane | posted 24-May-2000 9:43pm Just No Doubt. I bought it a few years ago when I was obsessed with "Don't Speak" |
| ILJ | (reply to Jane) posted 25-May-2000 3:43pm Their new album is far better than that one. |
| mary | posted 25-May-2000 6:48pm Nirvana, The Black Crows |
| wesley | posted 26-May-2000 4:17am I have mostly tapes. Don't have many CD's yet. My first one though was Def Leppard. |
| icurok | posted 26-May-2000 6:17am Do you mean CD albums or CD singles? I assumed you meant both. I also ticked the boxes for the ones for which I have just tapes (like cpierson did). Oh and who is the other Stone Roses fan besides me? |
| kirst | posted 26-May-2000 8:46am What a bizarre list. Of these, I only have James Taylor on the boat. I believe I have Garth Brooks, Guns N Roses and Def Leppard CD's somewhere at my mother's. (Boy, that was really difficult to admit!) |
| Jane | (reply to ILJ) posted 26-May-2000 3:17pm really? I was thinking of getting it, but I hadn't decided yet. Thanks for the recommendation! |
| ILJ | (reply to Jane) posted 26-May-2000 4:39pm Absolutely. Be sure to read the lyrics too, they're wonderful. I'm not the kind of guy who typically gets into bands like No Doubt (I'm more of a Zappa/King Crimson/more-crap-that-nobody-listens-to kind of guy). But this new album has been playing pretty constantly at my house (at least it was until the excellent new Juliana Hatfield albums came out And because I know there are a few Crimson fans here, let me express my opinion that the new album sucks. Thank you very much. |
| anonymous | (reply to ILJ) posted 26-May-2000 8:20pm more-crap-that-nobody-listens-to is a great band, man! |
| Pollerbear | posted 1-Jun-2000 12:59pm Def Leppard, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, No Doubt, Guns n Roses, Black Crowes, Garth Brooks, Creed. |
| Andyroo | posted 2-Jun-2000 12:58pm Yeah...shhhh though. Don't spread the word 'cause if it gets out there goes my hood rat reputation. lol |
| clare | posted 11-Sep-2006 10:24pm Some of these, such as Garth Brooks and James Taylor aren't bands. |
