How would you answer Phil's question?

There is a Dilbert cartoon where Phil, the Prince of Insufficient Light and Supreme Ruler of Heck tells Dilbert and his colleagues to choose their fate -- they will either receive eternal high pay and have their work burned in front of them at the end of each day, or eternal low pay but their work will be useful & appreciated.

I say eternal high pay because we are poor... and it sounds good to me.. but if I had a bunch of money floating around, then I'd like for my work to be appreciated.
