| romkey | posted 2-May-2000 4:09pm I have to admit I prefer the old ones |
| cpierson | posted 2-May-2000 4:28pm I've set foot in McDonald's once in the past five years, and that was for breakfast when the local greasy spoon was closed. |
| lion | posted 2-May-2000 5:33pm The old fried ones! I don't even want to think about the fat content in those things. |
| drdt | posted 2-May-2000 5:38pm I remember the old ones being singularly horrid. One would think the new ones have to be better, but this is McDonalds we are talking about. |
| mandy | posted 2-May-2000 6:18pm I like 'em old preferably a day or two old. |
| jettles | posted 2-May-2000 6:48pm never had one, don't think i ever will. |
| Richard | posted 2-May-2000 10:57pm McDonald's is evil. Don,t kill the cow. Please chant: HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE |
| phi | posted 2-May-2000 11:04pm Richard: do you have a macro for that? |
| Matt | posted 2-May-2000 11:22pm I used to like the old Strawberry Rhubarb ones. |
| Zang | posted 3-May-2000 1:59am I've never tried the new ones. I don't eat much fast food. |
| romkey | posted 3-May-2000 4:22am chanting makes me hungry. now I want a burger. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 3-May-2000 4:56am The old ones. 8 hours under those heat lamps is optimum. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 3-May-2000 5:04am phi: Richard: You know macros don't count. And now the Anton LaVey version: ERAH ERAH AMAR AMAR AMAR ERAH AMAR ERAH ERAH ERAH ANHSIRK ANHSIRK ANHSIRK ERAH ANHSIRK ERAH I loved the SNL ad which pictured a gang of krisna's which went like this: "After a hard day chanting, it's Willer Time" upon which they all cracked open some brews. |
| bill | posted 3-May-2000 7:56am QUARTER POUNDER DOUBLE WHOPPER WHOPPER WHOPPER WITH CHEESE WENDY'S DOUBLE WENDY'S TRIPLE TRIPLE TRIPLE WENDY'S WENDY'S |
| jonathan | posted 3-May-2000 9:46am I like 'em either way...it is too bad we can't get the old fried ones, tho. |
| mary | posted 3-May-2000 11:27am Yuck, I wouldn't try either. |
| mary | posted 3-May-2000 11:31am Man you all are a strange lot. |

| Maarten | posted 3-May-2000 3:39pm I hate McDonalds, so I never eat there. |
| micah | posted 4-May-2000 5:26am I wouldn't know. |
| SueBee | posted 5-May-2000 8:27pm I don't think I've tried the new kind. I sure liked the old fried ones. |
| SueBee | posted 5-May-2000 8:30pm vos - Does your McDonalds have those little plastic forks for the french fries? We don't have those in the USA, and I found them quite amusing in Germany. I guess we Americans are a bunch of unrefined pigs! |
| they | posted 5-May-2000 9:08pm vos: what condiment do you use on your fries? |
| Maarten | posted 8-May-2000 1:26am SueBee: I'm not sure, because I never go to McDonalds, but I don't think they do here. they: I guess you watched Pulp Fiction, right? Anyway, Tarantino is wrong. We don't put mayonaise on our fries, but a sauce that's similar: frietsaus. It's much 'smoother' than mayonaise. Not as fat as mayonaise. I also like to put satésauce on my fries, which the English always wrongfully translate as 'peanutbutter sauce'. |
| kirst | posted 9-May-2000 2:27am Didn't know McDonald's had new apple pies. I did not care for the old ones--I haven't had one in many years. (Not a big McDonald's fan) |
| they | posted 9-May-2000 12:42pm vos: Actually, Tarantino might not have been wrong. Vincent Vega might have just thought y'all were using mayonnaise. |
| BlueberryMuffin | posted 9-May-2000 7:03pm I like McDonald's cherry pies but they did away with them except for a promotional run once a year. |
| Maarten | posted 10-May-2000 4:51am they: |
| bill | posted 10-May-2000 6:46am ...and what of Shamrock shakes? |
| they | posted 10-May-2000 10:15am vos: nope, didn't know that... I guess it inspired him |
| joachim | posted 23-May-2000 9:48am Awesome survey. Simply stunning in it's elegant magnificance. Fried pies RULE! |
| joachim | posted 23-May-2000 9:51am SueBee - I think it's actually the Germans who are a bunch of unrefined pigs, and they have an inferiority complex about it. (Which they seem to have had for something like two HUNDRED years now. Give it a rest, guys - nobody even likes French people any more!) |
| eloradanan | posted 10-Jun-2006 1:19am I haven't had either of them. |
