Do you prefer McDonald's old apple pies, or their new ones?

McDonald's (the popular fast-food chain) used to have deep fried apple pies, but in the last several years they have switched to a new baked apple pie.

I've set foot in McDonald's once in the past five years, and that was for breakfast when the local greasy spoon was closed.

The old fried ones! I don't even want to think about the fat content in those things.

I remember the old ones being singularly horrid. One would think the new ones have to be better, but this is McDonalds we are talking about.

The old ones. 8 hours under those heat lamps is optimum.

Richard: You know macros don't count.
And now the Anton LaVey version:

I loved the SNL ad which pictured a gang of krisna's which went like this: "After a hard day chanting, it's Willer Time" upon which they all cracked open some brews.

vos - Does your McDonalds have those little plastic forks for the french fries? We don't have those in the USA, and I found them quite amusing in Germany. I guess we Americans are a bunch of unrefined pigs!

SueBee: I'm not sure, because I never go to McDonalds, but I don't think they do here.

they: I guess you watched Pulp Fiction, right? Anyway, Tarantino is wrong. We don't put mayonaise on our fries, but a sauce that's similar: frietsaus. It's much 'smoother' than mayonaise. Not as fat as mayonaise.
I also like to put satésauce on my fries, which the English always wrongfully translate as 'peanutbutter sauce'.

Didn't know McDonald's had new apple pies. I did not care for the old ones--I haven't had one in many years. (Not a big McDonald's fan)

SueBee - I think it's actually the Germans who are a bunch of unrefined pigs, and they have an inferiority complex about it. (Which they seem to have had for something like two HUNDRED years now. Give it a rest, guys - nobody even likes French people any more!)
