| lizzie | posted 6-May-1998 9:53am I moved out for college, then moved back home for about 3 months until I got my first job. I haven't moved back home since. My sister, who is 24, still lives at home. |
| lelle | posted 6-May-1998 10:17am I guess that depends on how you mean it... I got my first apartment when I was 17, but I'd been an exchange student before that (15) and the year before that spent much of the time by myself in my parents' house... |
| cpierson | posted 6-May-1998 10:51am Stopped living with them year-round at 16, when I went to University. Stopped going home for the summer at 20. I've been back home for a couple months here and there, but haven't lived at home at all for a few years now. |

| Dolemite | posted 6-May-1998 10:33pm Probably will move out in early twenties (after college) I'm not living with them now, but will over each summer until graduation. |
| Atzilut | posted 7-May-1998 10:30am when I moved away to WPI. I still lived at home during the summers, when I moved out for good? 20, my junior year. v. good survey. |
| jjg | posted 7-May-1998 2:37pm 23. but I was in college on the five year plan and living at home was considerably cheaper than dorms or my own apartment. Free. I didn't leave until I was getting ready to get married at which point I started livig with my fiance, now wife. |
| presti | posted 7-May-1998 4:33pm I moved out at 24 but moved back at 25 |
| Pigeon | posted 7-May-1998 4:47pm I went to college at 17 and never looked back!! I don't understand people who live with their parents into their late 20's.. Do you want independence? |
| Jaime | posted 8-May-1998 7:14am Not exactly. My parents are still living with me. Slighty different... :) |
| Mark | posted 8-May-1998 10:11am I "went away to college" at age 18, but moved back in after the first year; I transferred to a college "back home", and lived with the 'rents until I graduated, 2.5 years later. |

| reality | posted 8-May-1998 6:07pm I was in school at the time, so summers were still spent at home. got my own apartment at age 21. Couldn't wait to get out. My parents are nice people. home is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. |
| Gamera | posted 8-May-1998 11:09pm I moved out and back in with my mother a couple of times between age 15 and 17. Between age 17 and now (30) the most consecutive time I've spent near her was 4 days in Seattle for my sister's wedding. |

| kadai | posted 12-May-1998 4:48pm I was kicked out of the house at the ripe old age of 22. If I'd had any sense I would've left sooner. |
| lobster | posted 12-May-1998 11:56pm I moved out when I went to school. Accept for a five month period from when I finished until landing my first job, I haven't lived with them since. If they lived close enough to where I work that I could have commuted, I would have lived with them. They are the type that would not charge me rent. I could have saved a bundle! |
| truss | posted 13-May-1998 11:03am Stopped living at home full-time when I was 16 (when I started college). Spent my last summer at home at age 19. |
| prefect | posted 27-May-1998 2:02pm Spent most of my summer after high school graduation away from home.. | AllanKMA | posted 24-Jun-1998 5:34pm I had to be kicked out at 26. I never had it so good. No rent, no responsibilities... I think I would have left on my own at 29. (I wouldn't have wanted to be 30 living at home) |
| jcdino | posted 26-Jun-1998 1:01pm Still living with them (the dorm doesn't count ;) but when I graduate next year I'll most likely get an apartment near wherever I go to grad school. |
