I moved out for college, then moved back home for about 3 months until I got my first job. I haven't moved back home since. My sister, who is 24, still lives at home.

I guess that depends on how you mean it... I got my first apartment when I was 17, but I'd been an exchange student before that (15) and the year before that spent much of the time by myself in my parents' house...

Stopped living with them year-round at 16, when I went to University. Stopped going home for the summer at 20. I've been back home for a couple months here and there, but haven't lived at home at all for a few years now.

I left home at 15 to do an exchange year, then moved back in with my folks for year (boy, was that fun) and then left for good at 17.

Probably will move out in early twenties (after college) I'm not living with them now, but will over each summer until graduation.

23. but I was in college on the five year plan and living at home was considerably cheaper than dorms or my own apartment. Free. I didn't leave until I was getting ready to get married at which point I started livig with my fiance, now wife.

I went to college at 17 and never looked back!! I don't understand people who live with their parents into their late 20's.. Do you want independence?

Not exactly. My parents are still living with me. Slighty different... :)

I "went away to college" at age 18, but moved back in after the first year; I transferred to a college "back home", and lived with the 'rents until I graduated, 2.5 years later.

Went to college at 17, they kept harrasing me, so I promptly got married and never went back . Bwah hah hah hah hah!! I think living on your own ("not under control of an adult who feels he/she knows better than you, even subconsciously") is VERY good for your independent spirit.

I was in school at the time, so summers were still spent at home. got my own apartment at age 21. Couldn't wait to get out. My parents are nice people. home is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

I moved out and back in with my mother a couple of times between age 15 and 17. Between age 17 and now (30) the most consecutive time I've spent near her was 4 days in Seattle for my sister's wedding.

Well, I left my parents' home the first time at 19 to go live in NYC. Then I moved back in with them at 22 and will be living with them until I graduate from college next December at 25.

I was kicked out of the house at the ripe old age of 22. If I'd had any sense I would've left sooner.

I moved out when I went to school. Accept for a five month period from when I finished until landing my first job, I haven't lived with them since. If they lived close enough to where I work that I could have commuted, I would have lived with them. They are the type that would not charge me rent. I could have saved a bundle!

Spent most of my summer after high school graduation away from home.. Officially moved out (except for xmas breaks) once I went to WPI when I was 18.. subletted apartments for 3 summers, and finally moved someplace for a whole year last spring.. now i'm living in a house, out of worcester.

I had to be kicked out at 26. I never had it so good. No rent, no responsibilities... I think I would have left on my own at 29. (I wouldn't have wanted to be 30 living at home)

Still living with them (the dorm doesn't count ;) but when I graduate next year I'll most likely get an apartment near wherever I go to grad school.

I stopped living with my Mom when I was 13, then stopped living with my Dad when I was 18, then moved back in when I was 22, then moved out again when I was 24. I expect my Dad will move in with me sometime in the next few years as payback.
