What body parts do you have pierced?

Right this minute I am down to lobes just.

The worst thing about a navel piercing is the it kind of hurts all the time when you move for awhile. You really get used to it, and it goes away. I would recommend it to anyone. Guys love it!

Just one hole in each of my ear lobes, and I didn't have that done until I was over 30.

Only one ear, although I've entertained the idea of the other ear and one or both nipples..

tcb, I've thought about getting one of my nipples pierced, but the thought of how long it takes to heal and how much pain is involved tends to set me back.

I have 2 on each ear lobe and then 1 at the top of each ear that is almost closed.

I'm a geezer. I still can't wrap my head around all this weird eyebrow, tongue piercing crap. I don't have a problem with ears, noses, and even nipples, but that other stuff...too wacky for me. Needless to say I remain unpierced.

I almost got my ear pierced in high school because everybody was doing it. Then I realized that everybody was doing it. I like to be different, to stand out in a crowd, so I didn't get my ear pierced. Same thing with tattoos, which lately have gotten completely out of hand - I am beginning to think that every single U.S. citizen has a tattoo.

So that's why the INS has been so Byzantine in their rules; I just need to get tattooed and citizenship will follow.

joachim: You know why most of us have tattoos???? Because they are awesome!!!! I love them, if I could I would have my whole body done, but I am allowing myself only two, of which I can have work done on over and over whenever I want without going over board.

daver -- what an employee at Boston's INS office gave me as a "reason" things are taking so long is that their computer had Y2K problems and they were doing things mostly by hand -- that was back in January and I didn't really trust it given how easily people are willing to say "it was a computer error" and taking advantage of all the Y2K craziness way too easy. One of the signs posted there read something along the lines it takes about one year between the application for citizenship and the interview.

drdt - That may be true for some people, but I think those of use who have more than one tattoo probably have them because we love them -- got one, and HAD to have more. It's probably not something you can really understand unless you've felt the craving for ink yourself. If I had unlimited money and didn't have to work with the public, I'd be covered with tattoos from head to toe.
