| milktree | posted 4-May-1998 9:22am Rancetorie's, or Tosconini's, or Rebecca's. or did you mean which flavor? |
| lizzie | posted 4-May-1998 9:31am Yesterday it was Coconut Almond Fudge Chip. Yay Ben and Jerry's! Usually, it is mint chocolate chip or chocolate chip. |
| Mark | posted 4-May-1998 9:48am Ben & Jerry's Deep Dark Chocolate (it's one of the "Smooth" flavours) |
| doom | posted 4-May-1998 10:28am Depends on where I get it. If from the supermarket then Bryers chocolate. If a farm stand then it is sweet cream. |
| dab | posted 4-May-1998 11:00am Tosci's |
| Atzilut | posted 4-May-1998 11:09am Pistachio, Butter Pecan or Maple Walnut |
| elijahblue | posted 4-May-1998 11:14am We've already had this one. Cookies 'n cream and chocolate are my two faves. Think this probably should have been a "check little boxes" survey. |
| Timmi | posted 4-May-1998 11:28am Ben&Jerry's New York Superfudge Chunk |
| romkey | posted 4-May-1998 11:37am Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter & Jelly |
| mute | posted 4-May-1998 11:58am The yummy kind. I like that real vanilla, where you've got bits of beans floating in it. Or pistachio. I really don't go for the complicated "we dumped all this stuff in..." kind of flavors-- I think they're annoying. (Ben and Jerry's, take heed! Chunky Monkey is FOUL! So it Cherry Garcia! Blah!) |
| fiore | posted 4-May-1998 12:21pm I put no choices because I know people's favorite ice cream varies. My favorite would have to be strawberry. ***I'm sorry this is a repeat survey. I did a search on all surveys and didn't find one similar to this. I guess my search was wrong. Again, sorry about this |
| lelle | posted 4-May-1998 1:37pm It varies. I tend to prefer fruit flavours, coffee, and a =good= vanilla... |
| hunter | posted 4-May-1998 1:46pm Vanilla. I also like vanilla-with-stuff or spice-flavored ice creams (cinnamon, ginger, Earl Grey, etc.) but vanilla affords me a very basic satisfaction. |
| lisashea | posted 4-May-1998 1:50pm chocolate chip. We have an ice cream maker (everyone should have one!!) and can make the ice cream rich or light or well flavoured or mostly vanilla. It's great. |
| jer | posted 4-May-1998 2:41pm Black Raspberry |
| Pomeranian | posted 4-May-1998 2:48pm Coffee or Pumpkin |
| Dolemite | posted 4-May-1998 3:33pm Peanut butter and chocolate. |

| Artemis | posted 4-May-1998 7:19pm Butterscotch ripple!!!!!!!!!!! |
| verbila | posted 5-May-1998 1:57am Quarterback Crunch (it's vanilla ice cream with 100 Grand bars - chocolate covered puffed rice and caramel) |
| wynkin | posted 5-May-1998 7:08am Breyer's vanilla |
| treehorn | posted 5-May-1998 11:33am chocolate chip from loard's in oakland |
| daver | posted 5-May-1998 7:51pm Breyer's vanilla (ha!) or B&J's Cherry Garcia. If generic ice cream, then coffee. |
| jjg | posted 5-May-1998 8:24pm premium store brand chocolate chip |
| kadai | posted 5-May-1998 8:48pm Burnt Sugar- It's kind of a caramel thing. |
| bill | posted 5-May-1998 9:35pm See this survey for related discussion. *** MY favorite would be cinnamon vienna finger (Toscanini's). |
| Dahlia | posted 6-May-1998 12:02am I like double chocolate fudge, and that cookie dough one... Yum Yum |
| plots | posted 6-May-1998 9:42am Ummm something with chunks in it and not chocolate.... Dajm perhaps |
| jonas | posted 6-May-1998 2:56pm Mint chocolate chip. Yum. Just keep those chocolate chunks to a respectable chip size dagnabbit! Nothing worse than slashing your gums on a huge, frozen, jagged wafer while trying to savor the goodness. |
| nbarone | posted 6-May-1998 5:19pm its still peanut butter and chocolate or peanut butter and vanilla, either will do *** bill - cinnamon vienna finger sounds incredible.... |
| drdt | posted 7-May-1998 1:09pm Mint Chocolate Chip **or** Black Raspberry |
| presti | posted 7-May-1998 4:42pm Butter Crunch |
| Pigeon | posted 7-May-1998 5:00pm mocha |
| Lorax | posted 7-May-1998 10:37pm Kahlua Fudge Brownie - Or Watermelon Sherbet with Chocolate Chips if only it existed. |
| steve | posted 8-May-1998 1:20am Before my ice cream maker broke, I made a cherry chocolate ice cream (with caramelized sugar) that kicked much ass. Now I wail in the commercial desert, and eat Ben&Jerry's coffee-toffee crunch or cannoli surprise, or some of the Starbuck's flavors. (And, yes, this is a repeat.) ***LORAX--get yourself an ice cream maker and make it! |
| Jaime | posted 8-May-1998 12:46pm Nougat, but isn't this a repeated survey? |
| bex | posted 8-May-1998 1:38pm Ben & Jerry's Heath Bar crunch |
| reality | posted 8-May-1998 7:35pm oooo.. tough choice.. I'd have to say Hagen-Daas Cookies and Cream (specifically that manufacturer for some odd reason). Sealtest Chocolate running a close second (is it just me or does anyone else notice a hint of maple in it?) |
| lvirden | posted 8-May-1998 11:32pm true 'home made' ice cream - vanilla, peach, strawberry, banana are all good flavors. But not the kind that one gets at most 'home made' ice cream store - the kind that mom and dad makes... |
| jzp | posted 10-May-1998 2:18pm no single favorite, except fo a vendor. Toscanini's in Cambridge, MA makes the best damn ice cream in the world. Tosci's Guinness is propbably the best I ever had there - a scoop of Guinness and a scoop of Sweet Cream... yum. |
| Tonya | posted 10-May-1998 8:24pm Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough |
| truss | posted 13-May-1998 11:31am Specific to a brand? Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. In general (any brand will do)? Umm... probably Cookies and Cream/Oreo Cookie/whatever they want to call it. Or Black Raspberry. |
| Gamera | posted 21-May-1998 1:57am tazo tea popsicles-- not exactly icecream, but fills that same void |
| BadtzMaru | posted 24-May-1998 9:25pm mint chocolate chip |
| phi | posted 27-May-1998 10:29pm burnt caramel (today). other faves include thai tea, mango... see a pattern? Lorax: I have in fact HAD watermelon sherbet (sherbet has milk, sorbet doesn't) with chocolate chips. Commercial product, sold in a watermelon-shaped (and colored) roll. |
| gilly | posted 14-Aug-1998 2:12pm How disturbing - I don't have a clear favorite any more! In fact, I don't really eat much ice cream. But I'll go with chocolate chip, if I have to choose one. |
| eloradanan | posted 4-Jun-2006 4:28pm Right now it's Dreamery's Caramel Toffee Bar Heaven, but next month it might be something different. |
| mross | posted 16-Jan-2007 1:31pm French vanilla. |
| LindaH | posted 29-Jul-2008 7:31pm Ben and jerry's new york super fudge chunk. yuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm *drools*
