| Kristal_Rose | posted 14-Apr-2000 12:35pm Yes, but my younger brothers and cousins years later was better. It had mettalic contact paper. They set it up at the strand in hermosa beach,ca,us during the summer. I had to explain profit & loss to them. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 14-Apr-2000 12:37pm Phi: Oh crap, that was harsh, though humorous. Where was that? Was he serious to any degree? |
| they | posted 14-Apr-2000 12:39pm We had a kool aid stand or two... I don't think anyone bought any except for us. |
| micah | posted 14-Apr-2000 3:44pm No. I tried selling clay though. |
| Enheduanna | posted 14-Apr-2000 3:54pm I have made some kick-ass lemonade in my day, I must say. We lived on a corner in a residential neighborhood--prime lemonade stand real estate. Plus the aforementioned trees, which in California bear fruit year-round. I remember once this big, bad-ass, hairy, Harley-riding guy stopped for some and loved it--I think he bought a few cups of it. |
| Maarten | posted 14-Apr-2000 6:21pm No, that's really American. |
| Lizabeth | posted 14-Apr-2000 8:19pm Once. I only had one "customer". |
| Lauren | posted 14-Apr-2000 10:47pm My best friends and I did it a couple of times. I think we actually made around 5 dollars. And it wasn't from our parents. |

| Jeanne | posted 17-Apr-2000 1:17pm Yes, I did have a lemonade stand. My grandchildren now have a lemonade stand. I, also, when I was a kid wanted to sell mud pies (I was really young). There was a sweet little old lady that told me, I should be selling a real pie and not a mud pie. So she made me a couple real pies (tart size). I thanked her and I sold them. But, that generally ended my selling pies. I have a granddaughter that is my little entrepreneur. She wants to make and sell things. I think it is so cute. I have several grandchildren and they are all so intelligent and industrious. I'm so proud of all of them. The lemonade stand is a good thing. |

| BlueberryMuffin | posted 27-Apr-2000 8:15pm I used to sell dandelion seeds I'd picked and stapled into paper pouches I'd coloured a dandelion onto the front of and sell them in school. I doubt that counts though... |

One time a cop came by and tried to get free lemonade by claiming that I was supposed to have a permit. I didn't understand at the time what an educational experience this was.
