Is there an alternate spelling to your first name?

Nope. There is a name that is very similar to mine (Maarten) and that's Marten, but the pronounciation is different.
The pronounciation of Maarten comes close to the English pronounciation of Martin.

Some think there are, but they are wrong. It pisses me off because the 'alternative' is from a different language, which I used to speak a bit of, and when they use it as an alternative they are both insulting me and massacring the language, either of which I would find highly offensive.

There are plenty of ways to spell Jody, but none of them apply to me.

I can't say there is any other way to spell my name. If it was spelled in some other way, then it wouldn't be my name. It would be someone else's.

There are about 3 or 4 different spellings to my name...a lot more depending on how creative you want to be, but they are all wrong compared to the way I spell it.

I've seen people spell my first name (Jared) Jarod. I find it to be an odd spelling.

Are "Lee" and "Leah" the same name? I would think they'd be pronounced differently. Leah is biblical - I don't know about Lee, but if I had to guess I would guess that it has a different derivation (and pronunciation). Then again, I knew a guy named "Reid" and everybody seemed to think his name should be pronounced "Reed", rather than "Raid", like I said it.

Lee is definitely not a biblical name, although I don't know its derivation; I doubt it's a shortened form of Leah, though.
