| pcpr | posted 5-Apr-2000 7:08pm I checked most of the options. Also, you can hardly ever see it in use, but I love 3M Command Adhesive tape (it's a foam like tape that when stretched a lot will release cleanly from the walls) to hang hooks, posters etc. |
| mandy | posted 5-Apr-2000 7:56pm I use many of these... strapping tape |
| daver | posted 5-Apr-2000 9:47pm Other includes: Aluminum tape, which is much better at sealing ducts than duct tape. 100MPH tape, for car repair and other things. Loom tape for, well, looms. Teflon tape for assorted threads. |
| magbast | posted 6-Apr-2000 1:06am daver..i think that's what they meant by plumber's tape...not sure..just guessing |
| cookiekid | posted 6-Apr-2000 8:48am Whatever tape does the job which I'm doing best, but why do you actually care? (sorry!) |
| jjg | posted 6-Apr-2000 9:49am If you can't fix it, duck it. |
| Avocado | posted 8-Apr-2000 10:46am Black electrical tape and silver duct tape work great to hold flogger strands onto a dowel... |
| mandy | posted 8-Apr-2000 2:46pm I've found a whole new use for black electrical tape in my life. Thanks to my SO who frequently surprises me with her ingenuity and downright.....playful nature. |
| SueBee | posted 9-Apr-2000 10:31pm I didn't think it was quite so sticky. Damn, that hurt! |
| mandy | posted 10-Apr-2000 1:07am hehehehehehehe Your screams made my toes curl! |
| Mozluvr | posted 17-Apr-2000 1:31am I love tapes off all sorts... They make my mouth water... |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 22-Apr-2000 6:30pm *Reasonable* I use almost all of these plus automotive painting tape, frisket tape, thread tape (different than plumbers tape), & recording tape. Scotch tape was originally named such because the backing was not solidly coated but rather had stripes of adhesive. A product of Minnesota Mining & Manufacturung (3M) that I have been recently jazzed about is double-sided 'removable' adhesive tape which I use to make 'Post-its' out of photos, notes, & coupons. Sometimes, however the tape stays with the page and not the item, so I am waiting for their next product: double-sided removable/permanent adhesive tape. |
