I use NT, mostly. I have Linux and NT 4.0 at my house. I am interested in the BeOS. I stay away from the WIN 9x junk.

In daily use, I use Win95 and Linux. I use MacOS and DOS a bit less often, but still "frequently". I use a Newton as universal remote control (theoretically :). And "PalmOS" or whatever the hell they call the PalmPilot OS.

first 4 all the time (daily?) DOS sometimes (though via win95) ** Yes PalmOS too (though I avoid it - I really just use it to beep at me). It may have been interesting to separate free Unixes from non-free. I used FreeBSD and Linux(both free), but I also use Solaris and HP-UX (not free) . *** I actually really like Win95, as I've adapted to it, learned it - I've become more and more happy with it. NT and Linux will not run most games, so Win95 is my sweat spot (plays games, and has good Internet tools). I do miss "grep" at home sometimes (I know I can get the win95 version), but I've started to use find-files an it's actually a lot better!

I use Win95 at home, and WinNT, Solaris, SunOS, SCO and AIX at work.

OS/2! God dammit! You forgot OS/2 you losers! It's a fudging conspiracy, I tell you! You must be on Bill G's payroll.

i dont get listing "linux" and then "other unix"; that's a hell of a lot to dump in a bucket. why not just "commercial unix" vs "free unix"?

Win3.1 I guess but I don't know much about it. Or any of them.

about equal amounts of time among 95/NT/(free)NIX/($)NIX. i enjoy the *NIXes, but really think that learning them is more like become a 32nd degree freemason than it is about running the "best" OS.

MacOS beats the stink out of Windows95. And there is an awful lot in Windows95 which stinks.

Wow. All of them except for BeOS, which I have seen but can't use yet (no support for PC SCSI). I've come to the conclusion that I can deal pretty well with any of them (save for DOS/Win 3.1, which annoys me). This means that I tend to be on the Devil's Advocate side on -every- OS flamewar, and tend to get flamed a lot. It's fun, though. :)

ear: I also used OS/2 for a few weeks... after which I gave up, because it still refused to recognize 3 of my system devices, even after calling tech support. :)

Mostly Linux and Solaris, occasionally Win95 (for games). I have used all the listed ones other than BeOS and MacOS (and an even greater number not listed), but the question asked about which were used frequently.
