Do grownups actually use the word 'booger'?

In Dutch we'd say 'snot'.

I use the word "booger", which is not to be confused with a "goober" which is the snot that gets stuck in your throat when you're coughing. I get worried about the number of words I use for types of nasal mucus.

I always spelled boogar with an 'a'.

Ever heard of a Kleenex?

Other: I put the booger in the trash can where it belongs, often by wiping my finger on the plastic bag that's in the trash can.

I'm so amused to read an explanation text of what a booger is (It makes sense to write it for people not familiar with the colloquialism, but being familiar with it, it's pretty funny).

Boogers gross me out. I once glanced out the window as my ex-husband was pulling out of the driveway and saw him pick one and eat it. I think that was the beginning of the end.
