| elijahblue | posted 25-Apr-1998 1:48pm None of the above. I like sherry or red wine, and some mixed drinks. I don't like hard liquor of any kind. |
| hunter | posted 25-Apr-1998 2:54pm Of the ones listed, tequila is the only one I do shots of with any pleasure, so I picked that. I enjoy all of them from time to time. If there are any vodka lovers in the SF area, you should try Infusions in SoMa...they have reasonably good food and their own infused vodkas. Yummy! |
| copprtop | posted 26-Apr-1998 5:48am Vodka is the only one I can use for shots. Others, like rum and tequila, I like in mixed drinks. |
| dab | posted 26-Apr-1998 12:42pm single malt scotch actually. |
| Dolemite | posted 26-Apr-1998 3:41pm Rum (with or without mixing). |
| fiore | posted 26-Apr-1998 9:47pm Absolut Cranberry, baby. I usually don't drink hard stuff by itself. Absolut Vodka and cranberry juice I like a lot. I have tried flavored vodka, when I was in Italy, and I really liked those. |
| VileOne | posted 26-Apr-1998 11:34pm Mmmm... Bacardi |
| Jaime | posted 27-Apr-1998 8:20am Well, this is not the same as for bier. In hard alcohol I don't like the taste, I like the effects. And for best effects I use always Whiskey, specially the classical scotch malt. |
| gilly | posted 27-Apr-1998 2:03pm If I *have* to choose one, vodka, because it's more easily camouflaged. |
| doom | posted 27-Apr-1998 3:20pm Vodka... yummmmmmm |
| steve | posted 28-Apr-1998 7:52pm Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, and yuck. I'll occasionally drink Godiva liqueur, or Chambord, or Fra'Angelico, or Amaretto; maybe once or twice a year. |
| Atzilut | posted 28-Apr-1998 8:46pm single-malt scotch whiskey. Laphroag is my fave, but any other scotch-nerds out there feel free to enlighten me. |
| daedalus | posted 29-Apr-1998 8:28am Not a big hard liquor fan, but those drinks I can stand generally have a lot of rum and fruit juice. |
| rleary | posted 29-Apr-1998 10:02am I don't drink. |
| lizzie | posted 29-Apr-1998 10:04am I don't drink much, so I guess I shouldn't answer this question. I like a good rum and coke...much more coke than rum, though. |
| tick | posted 29-Apr-1998 10:33am But, like Kaluha (sp?), I prefer my hard liquors watered down with something. In the case of Rum, Coca-Cola. |
| jzp | posted 29-Apr-1998 12:52pm wodka, straight from the freezer |
| truss | posted 29-Apr-1998 2:41pm None of the above, thanks all the same. |
| mute | posted 29-Apr-1998 3:53pm Gin burns the best. |
| lisashea | posted 29-Apr-1998 4:21pm rum & coke, from age 12. |
| Crimson | posted 30-Apr-1998 1:11am So far, I haven't really explored hard liquor.. I tend to stick to occasional beer/wine/vodka+___ juice. Which means I stuck "Vodka" here. |
| booker | posted 30-Apr-1998 8:49pm Prefer for drinking or as a solvent? Bad stuff. |
| seanhuxter | posted 1-May-1998 10:50am I don't like alcohol all that much. But if I gotta, it's GIN all the way, baby! (After Kaluha and Baileys) |
| joe | posted 1-May-1998 5:43pm i dont drink |
| daver | posted 1-May-1998 6:08pm Scotch (neat), then akvavit (ice cold) with tequila coming in third (if straight) and rum third (if mixed)... |
| lelle | posted 3-May-1998 8:53pm Of those listed, vodka. I definitely prefer Aquavit or similar, though. I prefer my gin and rum mixed, and my tequila straight. Vodka is more versatile, IMO. Whiskey, yuck. I've only ever encountered one single malt Scotch I could drink. |
| plots | posted 7-May-1998 10:27am Tequila by far... The best drink there is.... Rum is a close second though |
| Tonya | posted 10-May-1998 9:01pm Whiskey and Coke |
| jjg | posted 13-May-1998 5:52pm Bourbon whiskey, Jim Bean |
| reality | posted 19-May-1998 10:08am If I am going to drink, I'll have a rum and coke. It tastes less bad than any of the others. Then again, it seems that everyone who makes me one fills it with rum, and adds a little coke for color. |
| phi | posted 31-May-1998 7:22pm If we're talking off the rack at a bar, crummy vodka beats the others. But the high end goes much higher on whisky, so for the best stuff whisky, followed by tequila, rum, and gin. |
| dpolicar | posted 10-Aug-1998 1:10pm Oh, come on! The last time I intentionally consumed hard alcohol was >5 years ago; I honestly can't answer this question. |
| kristen | posted 21-Aug-1998 12:12pm Rum and coke. Yum. Rum Punch. Yum... |
| pandora | posted 7-Nov-1998 11:39pm Vodka, cause it's oh-so-stylish. |
| bigkim65 | posted 8-Jan-1999 2:47am Jose Cuevro...he is a friend of mine. |
| they | posted 30-Jan-1999 3:53pm Maker's Mark :) |
| Jane | posted 1-Mar-1999 3:10pm Sorry, don't drink. |
| mandy | posted 13-Apr-1999 7:06pm Rum and Coke... |
| jonathan | posted 16-May-1999 5:55pm Single malt scotch. Current all-around fave is Dalwhinnie, though Highland Park is also quite wonderful. |
| eris | posted 28-May-1999 8:56pm Depends entirely on my mood, but never Vodka. Whiskey or tequila are best straight, though of course a good martini is pretty close to straight gin (and very nice when made with really good gin); rum mixes best with a variety of things. |
| NOVEMBER | posted 28-Mar-2006 5:20am I'm a whiskey person. |
