I grew up in this big old parsonage in Upstate New York. We turned the heat down to 55 every night and up to 62 in the morning. That's a little too cold for my tastes, but anything over 70 is WAY too warm for me. I have no problem putting on a sweater or pulling a blanket over my legs if I'm cold. And I vastly prefer to sleep in a cold room with lots of blankets. Heat is a problem in my life. People always assume I left New England to get away from the snow, but I found the summers much less bearable. I don't like to sweat if I'm not exerting myself.

My household has perpetual thermostat wars. I can't stand it much below 70 and would prefer it to be 75, but one person I live with prefers it to be around 60. We had an agreement that we'd try to keep it at 68, but that hasn't worked...***doom: unfortunately I don't own any sweaters for my nose and ears and fingertips, which suffer most from the cold.

Whatever the temperature is, but it generally depends whether it's winter, summer, or whatever.

Well, in which season? In hot seasons 15ºC can be great, but in cold ones I like about 25ºC.

i averaged... i'm in phoenix, az, so about 85 when it's cold out (60 or below), and about 75 when it's hot out (100+ - so about a third of the year)

I generally prefer warmer indoor temperatures than most people, even while I am sleeping. Probably has to do with not having a great deal of "natural insulation." I also prefer to minimize the amount of clothing needed to feel comfortable.

my dad was a tightwad with the heat when we were growing up (my mom would start an afghan in september and crochet herself into it -- I am not making this up) so I got used to it.

71-72 F. Though when I'm sleeping, a cool room is nice.

55-60 if I'm doing anything, 65 if I'm not, 60 for sleeping.

About 20C for most rooms, definitely colder to sleep (16-18C). And bathroom should be warmer (22-24C).

I'd like to see the ranges overlap a little more...

I used to not mind the cold but I'm not very "thick" and I get colder more easily now. Especially if I'm just sitting at the computer at work instead of running around on a soccer field.

I generally prefer cool. I am comfortable down to about 25-30 degrees outdoors (not counting wind, wind bites) in shorts.

Geez, do people really have opinions about 68 vs 69 vs 70 vs 71? Anyway, I'm usually too warm, so I picked 66-67, but it depends... if I'm naked or doing something with my hands I like it warmer.

I have no idea - I don't have thermometers in my rooms. (Yes, there's a thermostat in the living room, but I rarely look at it and don't really believe it anyway.)

I put 66 to 67. I prefer it to be cool, as I'd rather put in a sweater to get warm than attempt to cool off.
