Overall, do you expect 2012 to be better or worse for you than 2011?

I expect the peaks to be higher and the troughs to be lower.

About the same. I have a very good life. I don't have reason to expect major changes either for the better or the worse, although you never know what will happen.

It can't be financially worse. So, that should improve. It should be better.

Overall, a little better. I just got a new desktop computer, so 2012 should be without the computer problems I had in 2011. Otherwise, work and vacations and so on, about the same.

Probably better. Hard to tell though. It largely depends on if the summers here make the winters worthwhile.

Yes, I am. I'm at university. I need to pay rent. And I need to eat food. I could get by on library resources, and I don't have to be in societies, but they cost money and improve my standard of life. I'm behind on rent, again, because the company who are meant to give me my loans have messed it up for the past four months.

When I lived in Santa Cruz, CA there was a tent encampment of students in the forest. It kind of sounded like fun.

I'm fascinated that majorities said 2012 would be worse for the world and for their country and then all but one said it would be the same or better for themselves.

I'd like to see that in Liverpool!

I heard a university dormitory in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada was appropriated by students during a protest and wasn't returned for more than a decade.

Well in my case it's because I'm filing bankruptcy and now living with the assistance of my parents. I'd say that explains better personally, but worse nationally.

I'd like to say, "it can't get no worse" (Lennon-McCartney: It's Getting Better); but of course it can, and probably will.

Probably about the same. I had an excellent 2011.

I can easily see how one might say 'I can't see how it could get worse' and perhaps not really mean it as they just haven't bothered to imagine things like meteors crashing into the earth, but not better? Does that mean you have no imagination for a fantastic life, already have a fantastic life, or just despair of possibly having one in the coming year?

2011 was pretty great for me.

About the same. I've got slightly more debt than this time last year - but I'm getting paid slightly more so I have roughly the same amount of money. I would like to lose some weight and generally pay more attention to my fitness, so hopefully I'll be feeling and looking a lot better.
