Hmmm...I learned that I can actually have fun with my coworkers. I learned that that one woman really *doesn't* have a personality at all. I learned that I drive better than my supervisor *smile*

Funny you should ask. It turns out that I learned a fair amount about a tricky painting process. In fact, I learned not to take the steps that I already took last night to treat three otherwise completed paintings (which I had promised to hang in two different shops for a month each in succession). I now have two 35 square foot pieces of garbage, and a third piece that if I crop off about 10 sq. ft. might be a hangable painting, but might not. uh, that was kind of negative, wasn't it? sorry 'bout that.

Actually, in school, I didn't learn anything new. In all of my classes we reviewed. Outside of school, I learned a few things. I learned that my ex is a player. LOL I find that amusing. You would too if you knew him. I learned that my mothers taste in paint colors isn't as bad as I thought. I learned that my friend is in love. I'm so happy for her. :)

- I learned that I am going to miss Wilmington after all.
- I learned that I can sleep away a migrane headache.
- I learned that the girl next door to me doesn't notice the big dirt stain on her carpet that I accidently left.
- I learned that all of my belongings at college can be packed in 4 hours.
- I learned that my English teacher really liked me and I will miss him.

Oh and my favorite High School teacher divorced her husband this year after 38 years of marriage. I didn't think anyone who was married that long would bother to divorce.

mod_perl was the tricky bit, also switching from Perl Linux/Red Hat rpms to built tarfile source is disturbing. You can't realistically de-install Perl, there are too many dependencies. I just installed over, *shrug*. A certain feature of mod_perl (PerlRequire in httpd.conf) doesn't seem to work when using Apache DSO's (modperl.so).

I learned this weekend that my grandmother's death (aleha hashalom [peace be upon her]) affects me more than I thought it would, that I'm a little too good at repressing my feelings sometimes, but that sometimes I'm a better person and am capable of doing more than than I think I am.

I surprised myself by becoming quite emotional about the Cuban boy who is being kept in the US away from his father. I suppose I suddenly realised that it's all a big scam! It's so hypocritical that the US government doesn't care about the thousands of Cuban children who will live (?) in poverty because of the trade embargo, but because this one child literally washed up on the shore of the US, his life is more important. And no-one is mentioning the hypocrisy.
My new years resolution was to find something to be angry about every day. This is today's.
