We only have lights on the tree. But they're multicolored. I really, really, really like those white icicle (sp?) lights that everyone has on the outside of their houses now.

They're blue. :) But they're always up in my room... so they're not exactly christ-mas lights. :) They're still lovely lovely lovely.

We have white lights to decorate the house and multicolored lights for the tree.

Mariah- I agree. I love the look of those icicle lights. They are so charming.

We have some multi-colored lights outside, and white ones on our tree inside. I was going to do a tree with green lights on the trunk and colored lights in the branches because I love the effect, but I've been too sick to put them up. * frown *

fooyun: i had one that was at 80% approval. Than I said something to the tune "Wow! My highest rated survey ever!" Following that comment it quickly dropped to the low 50s. Still above average, but not as good as before.

We usually just put white candles in the windows, no string lights.

We have a three-coloured string of lights - red, yellow, and green - but about two years ago the red died so it just flashes yellow and green. But about a month ago, we noticed that for at least a week it had been flashing red and yellow. So the red wasn't really dead, but nothing we do will revive the green ones now.

But what it will be doing come Christmas is anybody's guess.

Well, hopefully not setting anything on fire -- it sounds like something in the strings of lights is broken. If it's caused by bad contacts and is arcing it might mean real trouble. Fix it or replace it, the price is small compared to what could happen.
