This reminds me of ABC's Wide World of Sports...

"The thrill of victory. And, the agony of defeat!"

I get this feeling when I tell people stuff they should already know, or I get people to do something they should have just done voluntarily. I get what I want, but I defeated them thinking of it themselves.

Quitting work was like this. They really needed me there, and I made it so long, but it was so cold I couldn't talk, and I suppose that they broke me in the end * frown *

maybe in the past but I dont really remember. I dont feel defeated anymore by anything because I feel like as long as I am alive, it cant be 'over'. hard to explain, but I dont let myself feel that way. (defeated)

This question is very subjective so I would have to say 'no'. You MAY be asking a bit too much.

Yeah, things, information, facts, common sense info. Things people should have figured out for themselves. I get a sense of giving up on people when I get impatient and go ahead and tell them, just to get things done.

What are you telling them that you believe they should already know? And WHO told you this common known information?

This happens far too often for me to name any one thing. In the context of the situation, something others should be figuring out or picking up on. Nothing I was "told".

Yes, I once finished a race at second place; I was happy for coming second, but a part of me wanted to win.

I felt that way when I finished University. Glad to have accomplished it, but I was also sad because I knew my life would now be changing from what I had become accustomed to it being.
