The Ugly People vs. the Beautiful People

We the ugly people would win. We're not worried about breaking a nail, wrinkling our clothes, or messing our hair.

The ugly people, by a long shot, as we did in The Time Machine (Morlocks over Eloi).

The Ugly People - chances are that fighting would damage the Beautiful People's looks and then they'd have to join the Ugly People.

"The Ugly People vs. the Beautiful People" is the title of a CD by The Czars. There's a spooky song on it called "Lullaby 6000" that I like.

It reminded me of a very odd surrealist film by Louis Malle called "Black Moon" (1975). Part of what's going on in the film is a war between women and men. That idea fascinates me somehow. I'd love to see something (a novel, movie, perhaps a series on cable TV) that fully explores what that would be like. I think it would give a lot of opportunity to show our differences and similarities and just to know ourselves.

The ugly people! The beautiful ones would be to busy primping or afraid they would break a nail.

Remember beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder so any contest between those precieved beautiful and those precieved ugly would end in a draw.

Well thanks, but I'm not saying I'm ugly, per se. Nor am I saying I'm attractive. When I think of 'the beautiful people' I think of people that spend a lot of time and money on their appearance. They worry about what's 'in' and only wear the best brands. Sex & the City type folks. When I think of the ugly people, I think of folks like me who wear jeans from Wal*Mart and might even be caught wearing the same Superman T-Shirt for 2 days. I honestly don't care about my outward appearance, or what brand I may be wearing. Ok, with one exception, my Carharts. My bibs and jacket are so warm and so durable they are worth the price. But this devil doesn't wear Prada.

There are more ugly people than beautiful people in the world, so the ugly people would win.

I don't tend to see others as ugly unless they have 1) a really horrible heart or 2) their face has to be ALL bad traits, which is rare. Weird eyes, funky nose, ugly mouth. I rarely see anyone with a noticably horrid face. Nearly everyone has some attractive facial feature, therefore they have what I consider 'beauty' or 'attractiveness'. Focus on their good features and nearly everyone is attractive.
Yeah I know I am taking this too seriously but everyone says uglies outnumber beauties and I disagree, that's all.

I understand what you're saying. I'm with you. I've never been a "brand name" person. I buy conservatively. I have a dear long time friend, (bless her) that will buy a $100 pair of jeans because of the label...what she thinks as being better quality. Not so. To each his/her own, but I feel if one wears clean, presentable clothing, that's what counts.

The ugly could distract the beautiful by setting up huge banks of mirrors and throwing hair products...then BAM! Take em all out....

I do not think that being beautiful has anything to do with name brands or high fashion. I feel that natural beauty is much more beautiful and *real* I love to wear whatevers comfortable.

Ugly people because they outnumber the beautiful people. That, and also ugly people (aka, people of Walmart) have access to cheap baseball bats, chain saws, and even guns and ammunition. Good luck buying these items from the shops that beautiful people get their stuff from.

I'm cautious to use the words "ugly" or "beautiful". Apparently, there was a small dwarf woman who was very ugly and she received a lot of proposals. This is sort of a strange question.

The fact that (some) non beautiful people assume that all or most beautiful people are shallow, makes them what? I know you all are kidding around, but many people really do feel that way. I got into it with such a person on a forum about a week ago and she was stupid as hell.
