Would you tell your friend?

Your friend is with someone whom s/he really likes. You think the guy/girl is not right for your friend, and is bad in some way, such as unfaithful, uncommitted, etc,. Would you tell your friend, or would you keep it to yourself?

What sort of evidence do I have that he's bad for her?

Is it just my paranoid fear of losing her to him because I'm jealous and unsecure? Or did I catch him getting a handjob from a local bum?

Yeah, this is the sort of thing I converse about.

I would probably find a way to say something to my friend, although I would try to be less blunt about it. I'd likely wait for an opportunity when my friend brought the relationship up and use that to segue into voicing my concerns.

All depending on the situation. I've never had this happen.

Hardly any of my friends can even get a boyfriend. The ones that do are, honestly.. douche bags. In which case I wouldn't say anything, I just let it fall apart and kind of just watch. Well those.. aren't really my friends, so to speak.

It depends on the way in which I thought they were wrong for my friend and whether my friend ever expressed doubt themselves. For example, I would definitely comment if I thought my friend was suffering abuse, or if they asked my opinion on some specific aspect of the relationship. Most of the time, I think you have to let these things be - you can't possibly understand the inner workings of someone else's personal relationships.

Sure, why not? Everyone is telling me how wrong Pat is for me (like I don't know!) and it didn't change a thing.... so...

I might discreetly try to get the hint across but hey its their life. When it falls apart I would be there for them WITHOUT the I told you so comment. (I hate the I told you so people)

If I was asked for my opinion, then I would try to give it with some degree of tact. If not asked, no...not at all. This is a private issue between the two of them.

Yikes, the age old question.
I would suport my friend if they were happy. If my friend was not happy I would 'hint'. Depending on the person I might have to make bold statements if they were that unhappy. Liking someone is OK, but commiting your life to revolve around someone who is basically sucking the life out of you is borderline witchcraft and it would need an intervention.

Happiness should be simple, but sometimes it is the furthest thing from one's reality.

I was debating between a bum or a crack whore. Went with the bum in the end.

you think? I would not tell them I thought their SO was cheating unless I had some pretty solid suspicions or proof even
