Yes absolutely Loads......... I have worked in two international airports so ...

Lionel Richie, Ne-Yo, Charlton Heston, Duran Duran, Corbin Bernsen, Queen Latifah, cant remember half of them.......... The one that sticks out as most Memorable was at Heathrow, I was interviewing this young lady, and she told me she was here to do a talk show with "Wogan" (US equivalent of Jay Leno) I asked what she did, she says I am a singer.
I looked in her passport and I said "I never heard of you" ...she then told me she had an album out and was promoting it, she had started to get some air play in the US.

I asked her for her autograph (just in case she became famous)..... she did better, she took out a cassette tape of her album and signed it:

To David, Love always Mariah Carey

Impressive. How come you were interviewing her?

I used to work for TWA for a company called IAS, (International Aviation Secuirty) we were trained by Israelis, Basically every passenger before check-in has to be interviewed, If you have travelled, you would hear the "baggage questions"

Who packed your bags?
Have they been with you all the time?
etc

Well my job at the time was more involved...... Passenger profiling, I guess

I would ask alot more questions and answer dependent I would either tag you or make you a high selectee

This along with any suspicious signs, such as Middle eastern stamps, Ticket paid for in cash, women travelling alone etc etc

The "Baggage" question that all airlines ask was as a result of THIS:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Murphy

The distinction comes about because of "innocent" and "Non-innocent" threats ...I'll explain if you REALLY want to know

Regards David

Did anyone answer 'yes' to one of those questions like 'are you carrying any bombs'?

And what's wrong with women flying on their own? I always travel alone.

No , No of course not.....actually ASWAD the reggae group said yes as a joke and were asked to travel on the next flight as they were barred from boarding that one.

Amy,

There are several suspicious signs, and alot of travellers have them but once you can resolve it, its fine e.g

You travelling alone, you may say, "Oh I am meeting up with my boyfriend in New York" ....... of course this would prompt a barrage of questions from me like:

How long has he been your boyfriend?
Where did you meet him?
What does he do for a living?
Why are you NOT travelling together?
Did he ask you to bring anything for him?
How did you get from your home to the airport?

and on it would go until I was happy..

Only at comic conventions. Last year my favourite was Lou Ferrigno - shaking his hand was pretty incredible. His fingers alone envelope my entire hand!
This year (tomorrow, actually) I'm meeting Adam West, among others.

You met Aswad? That's so cool. You know about my love for reggae. Never was a huge fan of them, would've prefered to have met Steel Pulse by far, but it's still awesome.

*knocks on wood* I've never had problems travelling. They don't even cause me problems when I leave the customs for twenty minutes in Paris to go out and smoke. I guess I have an honest face.

I shook hands with Nick Park outside an animation festival. I think I told him he makes good animations.
I saw Natalie Portman while walking near Harvard. She seemed to notice me and crossed the street to avoid me. I may have been staring.
I was outside the church in Hyannis where Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver got married. We saw other celebs too, like Andy Warhol and Grace Slick. I have pictures somewhere.
I saw one of the Wayans brothers (Shawn I think) at the Ritz in Boston. We were there for brunch, I think.
I watched a total solar eclipse in Aruba with Wendy Carlos.

Most of these don't really count as "met". I'm sure I mentioned some of these before.

Several...too many to mention, I lived in Hollywood for ten years and celebrities were everywhere....especially at the hospital where I worked. A few: Lucille Ball, Alfred Hitchcock, Marlo Thomas, Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor, Freddie Mercury, Pat Benetar, Carol Burnett , Madonna, Adam Ant (Stuart Goddard), Rick Springfield, and a bunch more...some were social situations, as well.

I talked to Alan Jackson on the phone once. He was ordering a pay per view on his tour bus.

Paul Harvey told me I was wrong and hung up on me another time.

I've seen quite a lot of celebrities, but I can't think that I've met (i.e. spoken to) any - at least no-one that I would consider to be a celebrity.

Oh, I met one of the regulars on the One Show several times - he was one of my professors when I did my first degree. And a guy I was in a youth theatre with has been in some TV programmes (including a big US one) and a film - nothing recently though.

Yes, a fair few - mostly really minor celebs, but some quite famous peeps too. Thinking chronologically, Shane Richie, Westlife, Adam Rickett, Lee (Steps), Edge (WWE), Rikishi (WWE), DJ Lethal, CKY, James Marsters (twice), Alexis Denisof (Buffy/Angel), Michael Shanks (Stargate), Christopher Judge (Stargate), Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter/Twilight), Jorge Garcia (Lost), Corin Nemec (Stargate), John Cena (WWE), Ulrika Jonsson, Neville from Harry Potter, Peter Schmeichel, David May, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, David Beckham aaaaah probably more that I'll remember at a later date.

I'm not a fan of her either - she seems like a bit of a attention seeking tramp to me, but I met her before she became really annoying. I think she was hosting Gladiators at the time, so it was quite a while ago. She seemed nice enough really.
