| cerealkiller | posted 28-Oct-2009 1:57pm Disgusting drink. I won't touch it. Only thing worse is Scotch. |
| labjog | posted 28-Oct-2009 3:02pm Steep. |
| gambler | posted 28-Oct-2009 6:42pm ? mmmmmmmm I leave the teabag in the cup for as long as possible..........I like strong tea |
| Galomorro | posted 28-Oct-2009 7:15pm Steep. Heat a cup up in the microwave with tea bags inside, then let them steep for a while. Not quite to the boil but plenty hot. |
| cloudhugger | posted 28-Oct-2009 7:25pm Depends on the tea. |
| Richard47 | posted 28-Oct-2009 7:31pm I make tea in the microwave and keep the tea bag inside the cup. Sometimes, I keep the tea bag in the cup even when I am sipping it. |
| LindaH | posted 28-Oct-2009 7:31pm I steep it. |
| LindaH | (reply to Richard47) posted 28-Oct-2009 7:32pm I leave the bag in while drinking it too, even when I have to tip the cup. It doesn't splat in my face, though. |
| Iseult | posted 28-Oct-2009 8:10pm The right answer is 'depends on the tea', but I generally don't bother with the whole boiling process anymore. |
| Lysannus | posted 29-Oct-2009 1:23am Boiling in my opinion makes for bitter tea |
| Richard47 | (reply to LindaH) posted 29-Oct-2009 1:59am I've gotten a few splatters, I must say but I like strong tea...actually, I really just want to make sure that I am getting my money's worth of the tea bag |
| Jody | posted 29-Oct-2009 9:55am I'm usually inclined to steep..... |

I so would have guessed you were a scotch drinker. |

| coffee5437 | posted 2-Nov-2009 2:43pm never knew anybody boiled tea! |
| autumnlight | posted 3-Nov-2009 4:18pm What is 'steeping'? I didn't think you could teach an english person something new about a teabag! |
| they | posted 4-Nov-2009 9:56am I dissolve the powder.
It's the only kind of tea I like - instant. |
| Biggles | posted 8-Nov-2009 2:03pm I don't drink tea. If I did, I would steep it - or mash it, as we would say around here until it was really strong (just as long as it wasn't stewed). That's the Yorkshire way - along with reusing leaves/tea bags, though I don't think so many people do that now. |
| Biggles | (reply to autumnlight) posted 8-Nov-2009 2:04pm I was assuming they meant mashing! |
| autumnlight | (reply to Biggles) posted 9-Nov-2009 4:31pm ?! I thought maybe it meant leaving the teabag to brew -but who knows? |
