| bill | posted 12-Oct-2009 6:11am Hm, I'm not sure how to answer. Should I get all pedantic over the exact meaning and boundary of the belly button? I mean, the core area of my belly button is actually less sensitive than the skin around it. It's essentially scar tissue (less nerves?). But, my entire abdomen area is fairly ticklish and this includes the skin around and quite close to the belly button, so I should probably just say "yes". And, I'll choose "really" because I really like to use the word really myself, though it seems a bit uneducated or something to do so. |
| they | posted 12-Oct-2009 9:35am It's not ticklish. That's not the right word at all.
It feels..... disgusting.... even if I touch it. Indescribable, really. |

| they | (reply to bill) posted 12-Oct-2009 9:37am Wait, I just realized I said 'really' in my post before I even read yours. Really, I did. |
| they | (reply to bill) posted 12-Oct-2009 9:40am AND.... as stupid as it sounds, I never considered the scar tissue angle. So that's why it's so uncomfortable when it's touched. I've had the same problem with all of my other scar tissue as well. The surgery scars I have on my back (now 5 years old) are still slightly sensitive to someone walking up and surprising me by placing their hand on my back.
I still don't know why scar tissue would be sensitive in that way. |
| bill | (reply to they) posted 12-Oct-2009 10:42am You really may have replied to me too much.
I think scars are just weird/fudgeed up tissue. You never know what might happen to the nerves if you cut things up and it heals. My scars seem to be slightly numb (and not a problem at all for me). Mine are doubles (same surgery twice, the reused them) But, I don't think it's uncommon to have more sensitivity (or just a weird sensation). Biggles could probably give us a more informed answer. There's that movie Crash (not the popular one about racism, but the creepy David Cronenberg one based on the J.G. Ballard book which was about people who got off on car accidents -- you'd probably not like it since it's sort in the same vein as that move Kissed which I recommended to you a long time ago and ever since you've know to take my movie recommendations with a grain of salt). There's a "sex" scene in it where this guy is getting off on a woman's horrible car accident scar (I think it's suppose to look a bit like a vagina). But, I suspect scars can be sexy for some people and the odd sensations might actually be associated with pleasure for some other people. I'm in verbose mode today. |
| they | (reply to bill) posted 12-Oct-2009 12:00pm I'm really sorry. Sometimes, I really just forget how really exciting it can be to log in and have THREE replies...... and then how really disappointing it is to find that it was just one person being really silly.
You seem to like those movies that make me feel all sick on the inside I had a man tell me once he thought scars were sexy.... I'm thinking he hasn't seen anything like my mess before. He'd prolly vomit all over my back. |
| bill | (reply to they) posted 12-Oct-2009 12:18pm You should post pictures of your scars! I'd like to add it to my *ahem* collection. |

| bill | (reply to they) posted 12-Oct-2009 12:43pm Maybe you could intergrate them into one of those sexy back/ass tattoos. |

| meowry | posted 12-Oct-2009 7:47pm Kind of, but not always. Actually, I am more ticklish on my sides and along my spine. My belly is not very ticklish. |
| cloudhugger | posted 23-Oct-2009 9:28am Emphatic NO. Touch my belly button you may get slugged. (unless you are a cute greek boy from New York that I know) |
| cloudhugger | (reply to labjog) posted 23-Oct-2009 9:28am Oh that is OK, I was promising violence. |

Oh sorry, got a little excited there, ok, let me try again.
Do not even think about touching my fricken belly button. There is that better, no yelling.
