| labjog | posted 30-Sep-2009 1:48pm Well, my son came home last night with a fever, chills, headache and a sore throat. I got him medicated and comfy and went to bed. Woke up at 3 am with a splitting headache and the dry heaves. I don't know if its the flu, but we both feel pretty crapty |
| meowry | posted 30-Sep-2009 1:58pm I have a tiredness, headache, and sore throat. But that's due to something different. |
| Iseult | posted 30-Sep-2009 2:19pm I don't know. I've been getting weird symptoms lately. I've been considering everything from epilepsy to lyme disease. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 30-Sep-2009 7:13pm God I hope not. I just heard on the news today that one of the locals has died from Swine Flu. I live in Central Virginia. |
| Crayons | posted 30-Sep-2009 8:52pm I totally could have it right now. I just didn't have a headache, and I never get headaches anyway. Or Diarrhea. I find it fascinating that if I outed with Swine flu, they might shut down my high school. I would be a hero if only my parents would take me to the doctor. |
| dab | posted 30-Sep-2009 10:47pm My wife is sure of it and she's probably right. |
| LJD | posted 1-Oct-2009 2:05am So far, so good....been drinking Emergen-C this last week |

| labjog | posted 1-Oct-2009 1:29pm Just got back from the doctors, strep throat is whats going around my family. |
| Wicksy | posted 1-Oct-2009 3:56pm I have had far worse than swine flu...

| dpurdy33 | posted 2-Oct-2009 10:58am NO!! My bacons not achin'. I'm not oinking!! I have no urge to go outside and wallow in the mud. LOL. |
| mandy | posted 3-Oct-2009 3:16am I've believe I have been exposed before and cared for people who have tested positive(It's confidential). I get my shot for regular Type A this month and H1N1 in November. Using standard precautions at work kept me from being infected last April. |
| southernyankee | posted 3-Oct-2009 1:43pm No, I don't have any of these symptoms. However, it is quite possible I have Swine Flu (or already had it and just didn't know it). At least two people at my work had it and had to take some time off. My manager being one of them. |
| Wicksy | posted 3-Oct-2009 4:39pm This strain was caused by factory farming. Shame on us! Serves us right really |
| dab | (reply to Wicksy) posted 3-Oct-2009 5:24pm More accurately, there has been speculation by some that this flu strain may have come out of a factory farm. |
| Wicksy | (reply to dab) posted 4-Oct-2009 3:51am > More accurately, there has been speculation by some that this flu

| Biggles | posted 4-Oct-2009 6:35pm I had a pretty nasty respiratory tract infection a couple of months ago, with a persistent cough for several weeks afterwards. It wasn't swine flu though - it may be mild for most people, but not that mild! I had no myalgia and although tired, didn't have the extreme lethargy that I would expect with real influenza. |
| autumnlight | posted 5-Oct-2009 1:29pm I've had these symptoms this week, but I'm fairly certain that it's just a cold. |
| autumnlight | (reply to Biggles) posted 5-Oct-2009 1:31pm I had a respiratory tract infection last year with a cough that lasted for 8 weeks. I know your pain - hope you've recovered fully! It may not sound like the worst thing in the world, but when your ribs are hurting from the strain and you can't stop coughing, it's horrible! |

When I was 9 mos preg with my son Iwas coughing so much I broke 2 ribs. I was one miserable Mama! |
| autumnlight | (reply to labjog) posted 5-Oct-2009 3:10pm Ow that sounds horrible! Worth it though, presumably? |

| they | posted 12-Oct-2009 9:06pm Crap, I have symptoms like that on a regular basis.
Maybe I'm a carrier. |
| LindaH | posted 17-Oct-2009 10:55pm I might have had it. I had some sort of flu. I got over it, but ended up with bronchitis. Every time I get anything involving a sticky cough, I get bronchitis. |
| Enigma | posted 26-Oct-2009 12:47am I'd be more worried (if I worried about such things) to get a different form of the flu that has a bigger mortality rate than Swine Flu. |
| Gomezy3k | posted 1-Nov-2009 10:47am No but I was exposed to it by a friends 10 year old daughter. I did get a light case of flu but when I was coming down with it, docs gave me Tamiflu just in case it was going to turn into the real thing. Got over it with minimal problems. |
| Biggles | posted 4-Nov-2009 3:24pm I'm having the jab in two days, so as long as I don't catch it before then, I should be covered! |
