| gambler | posted 26-Sep-2009 6:09pm falsetto ......... you know Maxwell's "Womens Work" and/or Earth wind and fire "Reasons" ...... but only after a kick in the nuts |
| LindaH | posted 26-Sep-2009 7:02pm Dunno. I have never tried singing those songs, especially the one I can't stand. |
| RainingFeathers | posted 26-Sep-2009 7:43pm Well, I am absolutely horrible at "I Will Always Love You" - I can never hit those notes. Guess I'm not a Soprano
I'm pretty good at "Unbreak my Heart" - could be an Alto (The notes I can't reach could be because I'm not this, or could be due to lack of practice) Have never tried"Woman in Love" - don't know about this one *edited to add* Don't know if this helps at all, but I can always hit every single note of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing". Since that's a male voice, not sure if it's relevant. However, I can play that one on RockBand and get 100% every single time (On expert level and without looking at the screen) |
| labjog | posted 26-Sep-2009 8:24pm Alto, I can SING Unbreak My Heart. |
| cprasky | posted 26-Sep-2009 9:53pm Other. Probably somewhere between horrible and abysmal. |
| LJD | posted 26-Sep-2009 11:06pm I once had a good voice, but no longer |
| mandy | posted 27-Sep-2009 3:13am I'm a mezz |
| Melf | posted 27-Sep-2009 4:36am By this scale, then, an alto. I always had to have deep harmonies for myself in choir |
| bill | posted 27-Sep-2009 8:50am When I was in 8th grade (~14 years old) they said I was baritone. I have no data points since then, though. |
| Wicksy | posted 27-Sep-2009 9:18am I am a big fat scary basser

| Wicksy | posted 27-Sep-2009 9:18am I think CK will be a soprano when a factory farmed pig grabs him by the balls

| southernyankee | posted 28-Sep-2009 10:21pm My signing range falls somewhere between crappy and very crappy. Oh, wait, you meant frequency range, not ability. Well, that I can't tell you. Um, bass? |
| Lysannus | posted 29-Sep-2009 2:23am I can cover the ranges from Baritone to Mezzo-Soprano. I can hit most of the notes in the songs at the ends (Bass, Soprano) but some are a stretch and I couldn't keep them up for long. |
| meowry | posted 30-Sep-2009 11:05am I was a soprano, until my vocal cords were damaged. At least I can still sing. (I'm a mezzo, btw.) |
| coffee5437 | posted 30-Sep-2009 3:11pm and my voice is better than babs |
| Enheduanna | posted 1-Oct-2009 1:50pm Alto. |
| FordGuy | posted 1-Oct-2009 3:39pm Well, since I live in Alto, Michigan.... I guess.... well.... I'd be singing in Alto! |
| Biggles | posted 4-Oct-2009 6:57pm I can't hit any notes in anything. I can't hear subtle differences between notes. If you play a very high note, and then a very low note, I can tell you which is which. But any closer together, and I would struggle, even within a single octave. Asking me to say whether I could comfortably hit notes in any particular song is like asking me how many oranges constitute a poodle - it simply doesn't compute. |
| autumnlight | posted 5-Oct-2009 1:49pm Mezzo-Soprano |
| cloudhugger | posted 8-Oct-2009 5:21pm Other: not doing it. I'm not going to sing |
| they | posted 12-Oct-2009 10:42pm Can I be a tenor? I don't know those girl songs. |
