Yes, but not on purpose. When I yell little spittle droplets go flying.

I have been spitting mad in the figurative sense, but never in the literal sense.

I never understood that phrase. I've been so mad that I've said "Go fudge yourself!!"

I was watching this police TV show the other day and they were interrogating a bad guy who they knew had raped and killed this young girl. One of the detectives was yelling at him, calling him "sick" and a "murderer", stuff like that. And, then, he spit (like right in front of the guy, possibly in the bad guy's French fries). ...and, I was like, "Whoa, he was so bad he spit. Maybe people really do that sometimes."

Though, reading labjog's comment, I can see there's another aspect to this. Though, I wasn't thinking of that. I was thinking of a more specific/intentional spit.

I've been so mad that I could have spit every time I drive, but I didn't. Maybe it would help if I spit at the other drivers.

I don't think so. Unless some little bits of spittle went inadvertently flying off my lips.

No, but I've been mad enough to spit in a person's face.

Never did tho.

It's on my list.
