| meowry | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:26pm We have beautiful, old-fashioned ornaments. I see no need for new ones. If I do, I'll just make them. |
| cerealkiller | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:29pm Yes, actually. Christmas stuff hit Costco right after Labor Day. Bought a package of 3 Christmas nightlites. |
| Enheduanna | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:49pm No, although I think I have one or two presents already stashed away. |
| LindaH | posted 15-Sep-2009 8:04pm No. I don't buy new decorations every year. We have more than enough. Want some? |
| bill | posted 15-Sep-2009 8:14pm we have some old ones in a box (mostly related to xmas tree), nothing new though |
| Crayons | posted 15-Sep-2009 9:37pm I don't buy any. My mom uses the ones from previous years, but she's always tempted to buy something new. I'm much more excited about Halloween. |
| Galomorro | posted 15-Sep-2009 9:54pm Don't buy decorations. The only time I'd buy any would be if they were mirrored so as to reflect more light on my indoor plants. Then probably only if I see them at garage sales. |
| LJD | posted 15-Sep-2009 11:13pm I don't need any. I don't decorate big anymore. I put out a few plants and garland, nothing more. It's just my husband and I. |
| Iseult | posted 16-Sep-2009 8:13am No.
I don't do Christmas. I do put up Christmas lights in the living room or bedroom but it has to do more with the fact that I think they're pretty and I keep them there year long. |
| icurok | posted 16-Sep-2009 8:59am We don't need any. All our Christmas decorations are in a box on top of my crap wardrobe. |
| cloudhugger | posted 16-Sep-2009 9:41am Does buying a retro plastic wreath at a garage sale count?
Probably not...I won't do the retail thing. Oh hell no. Ninety percent of that will be in a garagesale in a few years. |

| Biggles | posted 16-Sep-2009 1:47pm Both Morrisons and the Co-op have started putting out Christmas food displays (chocolates etc.) but I haven't seen any decorations yet. I doubt that I'll buy any. My housemates are going to spend Christmas in the US (at least, I think they're both going) so hopefully they won't have a Christmas tree like last year (which has only just been disposed of, much to my mortification). I'll probably spend the day itself with my parents, so I'll leave them to provide the 'Christmassy feel'. |

> I put out a few plants and garland, nothing more. > It's just my husband and I. That's no excuse. It's just my wife and I but I decorate the whole outside of the house with lights all over and moving figures. Can't do much inside because of the cats. |
| LJD | (reply to cerealkiller) posted 16-Sep-2009 4:22pm Don't get me wrong, we do decorate, but not to the degree we use to decorate. My husband puts up the lights outside, I put garland with poinsettas on our porch guard rails, and step coming into the house. The poinsettas are frosted, looks like snow. I have decorated a tree in front of the house, near the steps coming in. Inside the house, just place poinsettas in living, and family room. A little garland over the fire places. Very simple inside. |
