| labjog | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:04am Yes, always. Mine come from Miss K's (Kmart) or Wallyworld (Walmart). |
| FordGuy | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:27am Are there seriously people out there that worry about crap like this? I'm not complaining about the survey, just that someone actually wastes brain power deciding if that doges bag matches her shoes. |
| gambler | posted 15-Sep-2009 8:10am Yes, always ....... |
| icurok | posted 15-Sep-2009 8:32am "As far as I can tell, fashion is nothing more than a handy visual system that gives people with no personality some palpable criteria to judge each other by. Anyone who regularly contemplates clothing for more than five minutes a week is wasting their life as surely as the most lethargic, do-nothing heroin addict imaginable."

I keep thinking there is some kind of service that I can provide to people like this, and charge them outrages prices. I kind of did this when I was wallpapering. Some jobs took me like 3 hrs and paid around $800.00. These fancy people I would charge 8,000 and they would be happy to pay it so they could brag. See, everybody wins |
| Galomorro | posted 15-Sep-2009 11:08am No and they don't need to match either. |
| TeddyMiller | posted 15-Sep-2009 11:28am My left sock and right sock don't always come from the same designer. |
| Enheduanna | posted 15-Sep-2009 1:18pm No. |
| cerealkiller | posted 15-Sep-2009 2:46pm Don't care. My wife is picky though that they match in color and finish pretty close. She doesn't care about quality shoes, they usually run $20-$30 but buys $200 purses. Which I guess isnt' that much compared to the designer ones. |

| meowry | posted 15-Sep-2009 10:36pm I never match my shoes with my bag. That's boring. |
| FordGuy | (reply to labjog) posted 16-Sep-2009 9:54am There are the rich parts of town here too. My brother used to make extra cash by hauling junk from peoples houses in his pickup truck. The rich part of town would pay him to remove perfectly good appliances, which he would later sell. I often wonder how these lazy people make their money. |

| FordGuy | (reply to labjog) posted 16-Sep-2009 6:36pm Possible. But that part of town is mostly doctors. And that even scares me more. If you are a doctor and you are so stupid.... |
| labjog | (reply to FordGuy) posted 16-Sep-2009 6:38pm > Possible. But that part of town is mostly doctors. And that even

| FordGuy | (reply to labjog) posted 16-Sep-2009 6:40pm Are you calling nurses disposable? |
| labjog | (reply to FordGuy) posted 16-Sep-2009 8:28pm > Are you calling nurses disposable? |
| FordGuy | (reply to labjog) posted 16-Sep-2009 8:49pm So... then... lab technicians must be the disposable ones... |

| southernyankee | posted 17-Sep-2009 10:05pm No, that sounds like a retarded rule, even for fashion. |
| southernyankee | posted 17-Sep-2009 10:14pm I can at least understand a rule that handbags and shoes have to match (although thats kinda dumb as well), because at least its visible to the naked eye. But if you already have them match colorwise, its redundant to making sure that their brands match on top of that. That would be like if you painted your bedroom light blue, and then decided to paint your living room light blue a few months later. Well, you do that, but then *doink*, the first paint was a store brand from Home Depot and the second from Lows. Even though they visually match, its just not right.
Because, seriously, what kind of an idiot paints part of their house with paint bought from Home Depot and another from Lows. |
| LindaH | posted 17-Sep-2009 11:05pm Better to come from different designers. Spread the financial support around. |
| Crayons | posted 18-Sep-2009 10:55pm What if the people who designed my really cool bag doesn't make shoes? |
| autumnlight | posted 19-Sep-2009 8:21pm I really don't care enough about this. |
| FordGuy | (reply to Crayons) posted 21-Sep-2009 7:41am Well then you're going to have to get out one of those flying fudges... |
| Crayons | (reply to FordGuy) posted 21-Sep-2009 11:57pm Oh, yes, they go with everything, regardless of season. |
| FordGuy | (reply to Crayons) posted 22-Sep-2009 11:33am Are you saying fudges can fly in the winter? |
| Crayons | (reply to FordGuy) posted 22-Sep-2009 3:39pm Sure, but in some inclement weather they walk because naturally it's hard for a fudge to hold an umbrella when it flies. |
| FordGuy | posted 22-Sep-2009 8:16pm Oh, so fudges can't fly above the clouds? Well that just sucks. |
| docgbrown | posted 23-Sep-2009 2:56am Not to me |
| Zang | posted 28-Sep-2009 6:03pm I believe the operative word here is "matching". In a case like this, I would consider matching to refer to the colour, texture and material. It would probably be easier to accomplish this by purchasing from the same product line, but depending on those three attributes and their relative obscurity, I'm sure it could be done without having the bag and shoes come from the same designer.
For example; you could have two very simple, black leather items. Or you could have some weird combination of snake skin with unusual buckles. |
