| labjog | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:09am Not since I have been a grown up. When I was a teen, constantly by my mom. |
| FordGuy | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:31am How was I to know that black hose don't look good with light khaki shorts? I guess if I have to wear anything other than skin-tone, my shorts should match my hose. But that's about it. Other than that, my Hawaiian shirts go with everything. |
| dab | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:35am My mother once asked me if I dressed on purpose to look as uncool as possible. |
| gambler | posted 15-Sep-2009 8:16am No..................... or maybe my wife years ago....... but that was certain items |
| Melf | posted 15-Sep-2009 10:38am No. My friends say I can wear anything. I think that's an excuse for an inability combined with no inclination to consider the apparent repercussions of a 'bad fashion taste'. |
| Galomorro | posted 15-Sep-2009 11:16am Yes, by bosses. Like I worked as a temp in this dept. where the ol' f*rt didn't want his employees to wear T-shirts, but yet in all the other depts. of the same company, all other employees could wear T-shirts all the time. One of my counselors used to disapprove of my carrying a backpack to work. These were in supercasual office settings. |
| icurok | posted 15-Sep-2009 2:46pm Oh, all the time.
"That's a crap wardrobe", they say. And I say, "Oh come on, it's not that bad". And they say, "Look at the bloody state of it! The doors are hanging off at the hinges. You wanna get yourself down to Ikea mate". |
| LindaH | posted 15-Sep-2009 5:27pm Yes, and I thought they were being stupid, so I didn't care. |
| meowry | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:21pm What kind of person wouldn't have ever been criticized for their wardrobe? I think, most people are sometimes. For me, mostly during my teen years. Everybody had something to say! |
| Enheduanna | posted 15-Sep-2009 7:57pm Yes. |
| Crayons | posted 15-Sep-2009 9:39pm Yes, a friend of mine is kind of vain and it can be annoying, but she lacks the intelligence to be preoccupied by much else. I'm just saying, that's the way she is. She's fun though. |
| cprasky | posted 17-Sep-2009 9:18am Yes. |
| Zang | posted 10-Oct-2009 11:04am Most recently it's been my propensity for wearing grey. When I was a lad, sometimes fellows in pick up trucks would yell "Punk Rock ice cream man" at me. I suspect that was their way of criticising my attire. |
| they | posted 21-Nov-2009 8:54am Since birth, almost.
Once, a man wearing cowboy boots asked me why I was wearing combat boots. |
