I've never experienced swimming in a lake or pond, or river, or creek. I like pools where my feet touch the bottom. I don't swim in the ocean, I just wade while my mom wails if I get deeper than my knees.

I prefer swimming in oceans the best, but occasionally I'll touch something in the water and freak out. Outdoor pools are good, too. Rivers scare me because of whirlpools. My grandmother's brother drowned when he was 15 because of one. I'm not a huge fan of lakes.

The ocean. Pools are boring.

I like indoor pools in the winter with it snowing outside. Liked to stay at the hotel in Benton Harbor, Michigan over New Year's. It had a large indoor pool with glass dome, sauna and large jacuzzi. We would rent snowmobiles during the day then come back to the hotel and sit in the jacuzzi watching it snow outside.

I like going to the beach and fooling around in lakes and rivers, but the best swimming is in pools.

Pools of course are awesome..But I think by far the ocean is the best. More dangerous and exciting.
The lake, the one time I was in one was amazing too. It isn't even that bad that you can't see the bottom..or anything for that matter..It's so warm and inviting.

Outdoor pool.

I have a phobia about natural bodies of water...... but I'm not sure if it extends to the ocean. I haven't had a chance to test it since the phobia has worsened.

At home in the backyard when someone else takes good care of the pool. I know the chemicals, I know it's safe and I can strip down naked before going into the house.

I totally agree. It's the getting out that blows. My friend doesn't undertand why I don't like to swim. "because than I'll be all wet..." she makes fun of me.

But if I were in the water.... and something brushed my foot..... I would just throw up on myself.

That's why canoeing is so exciting for me. The thought of being tipped into the water is frightening. It's a rush.

I'm conditioned to boogie boarding, but a river with a rope swing is cool too. I loved drifting down the colorado river all afternoon with friends.

I'm gonna tick 'dont' know how to swim'

I went on a learn to swim holiday a few years back. Four years ago I think.

Hated it. Hate swimming. But I think I could now, get myself to the side if I fell in some water.
