Do you like to eat home-made soup?

I made a rarebit stew once containing pounds of cheese (and tons of diced veggies). At about the 3.5 hour point of constant simmering and stirring the cheese switches from gritty to smooth glossy creamy.

Yes. In the winters I usually make home made soups. Soup is a good food...homemade. I've made pea, clam chowder, potato, vegetable soups. I think I'm going to try to make broccoli soup.

Oh yeah! Homemade is the best. I especially love any kind of congee (Chinese, "juk"), a thick rice porridge. But ANY kind of soup is one of my favorite foods, especially thick creamy ones and oniony ones.

But not homemade from random people. I usually steer away from other people's kitchen food. Potlucks are the devil.
