I'd love to own a tropicals greenhouse specializing in unusual plants and orchids. I'd also like to have a reptile zoo in that greenhouse!

Not interested in working but if I had to work, I'd have a job where I could work with plants and have minimal contact with humans.

If you moved to the Bay Area, I would totally go into business with you!
Two of my four orchids have set flower spikes again (all four bloomed last year); I hope the other two follow suit!

I have a ladyslipper blooming right now, and just finished blooming an Ascocenda. one of my Vandas has 3 nubs, but has yet to start extending a spike. the wait is killing me on that one - it's my first blue vanda!

One's a phal and one's a dwarf dendrobium. I got the dwarf dendrobium at the flower show a few years ago, and it has made a new bulb and produced flowers like clockwork every year. The phal went five years without and finally bloomed last year--and it had two spikes! The ones that don't have spikes yet are another phal and a lady slipper. That phal kept its blooms for about 6 months and only faded about a month ago, so I expect it to be a while.

If I had it to do over again, I would have become an English teacher, because I was always a straight A student in English all throughout school, and I believe that's where my talents lie. So I think I missed my calling there. * frown *

Owner of an animal sanctuary for unwanted, injured or abused animals.

A huge area of grassland in Scotland would be nice.

If I win the lottery, this WILL become a reality.

Well, I'd like to work at home, maybe write a book that will be a best seller, so I could wake up at noon and go to bed a 1 AM every day.
Or a stand up comedian, because I thought it was cool how on Seinfeld, Jerry could really go wherever he wanted, he just had to go to shows. And he got to travel sometimes. So that would be just enough to get me out of the house and around people.

Singer in my own band, both cover tunes and originals. And then on the side be an artist. I'm already an artist and the band part is coming true, but, DAMN, that day job thing sucks.

Well, when you do I'll help. I love Scotland, being a Sinclair and all. Love the seals (or are they magically Selkies).

You can have a job for sure. You'll probably be the only SC who I would give a job too(THEY also), as you seem the only one who shares my views on animals.

Spaceship doctor! But just plain doctor will do * smile * I'm pretty lucky that my background and education mean that I really can feel that I am able to choose my job from most of the job types that are on offer. It helps me to feel sure that I have chosen my career rather than being forced into it, which I'm sure will be beneficial when I have tough days.

I'm laughing because I know the whole lord and master thing of the Sinclairs (St. Clairs) and learned quite a bit when I was in Scotland in 2007.

Of course, when Wm. St. Clair built the Rosslyn Chapel he loaded it with pagan symbols and gods to supposedly defy the English who gave him the land. My English side "Chadwell" were fox hunters and brought it over to Virginia then NY where my Dad's family ran the hunt for the millionaires and Grand father married into the Sinclairs. Much too rich for my blood ... I DO NOT believe in hunting with dogs. Sort of an ongoing conversation in my family. I'm the black sheep. Or "green" sheep. Oh well, I think I will be a peasant Sinclair. Much more fun kicking up ones hills in the pubs and raising a ruckus.

Councellor/Therapist. I work better one-to-one I think.
I'm a people person.
I like to listen. Sadly, I also like to talk (which isn't the best trait for a therapist)
