Have you ever worried that your kids will do the things you did at their age?

Sometimes I do and was wondering if anyone else did.

No. I would hope my kids end up doing what I did at their age. I was mellow!

No kids. But I think I would actually want my kids, if I had any, to do what I did -- like going outdoors and playing actively, like in trees, in the dirt, on playground equipment, on wheeled toys, which would be better for them than watching TV or playing computer games all day.

Not yet. I didn't get up to too much mischief when I was 3.

No kids, but I do in fact worry about any future children I may have ending up exactly like me. I mean, I like me, but they could do better.

I don't have kids, but I imagine this is a pretty normal fear on many parents' part.

Hypothetically.. neh. I've never broken any bones, drank, smoke, or anything interesting really. I just hope I'll never drive my kids to run away [at any age]. But I still have a few years to go. As of right now I'm generally pleased with myself.

I don't have kids, but I never really did the stuff you don't want kids to do.

No kids, but I assume it goes both ways... some of the things I did were good and thus it would make me happy not worried if my kids did them.

I was basically a good kid, but, I did do some wild and stupid things.

No, not really. My son is quite different than I was. By the time I was 17, I had had quite a few run-ins with the police and had even been arrested once. My son has never had any run-ins with the police, never been arrested and so far as I know, has not even tried marijuana.

Sometimes I worry about that. I think my son is a little too conventional/conformist.

If I did, and they did...they better be aware that it's dangerous and life is to not to be taken for granted or seriously.

Well, I was smoking and drinking with friends at 13 and first tried illegal drugs at 16, so probably not. Having said that, I was always a very sensible teenager and my parents trusted me to make my own decisions for the most part - they didn't know all of what I was getting upto, but I would never have done anything where I felt I was letting them down - i.e. causing trouble in the streets/being disruptive. I never caused my parents trouble, they always knew where I was and I was always respectful and tried hard at school. I suppose I can just hope that my kids keep a good head on their shoulders like I like to think that I did.

Nope. Hopefully they will enjoy their lives and not be like me, because my life pretty much sucked.... but I do not worry one way or another.

Don't have kids.

But if I did, I'd worry a hell of a lot about them. Mainly that they will mess up like I've done in the past. (and occassionally still do)

It must be stressful being a parent.
