| Jody | posted 29-Jul-2009 12:07pm Thought I have been frightened of them since I was a child, I kind of enjoy the scary exhilaration of watching them in the daytime. I don't like to watch them at night... |

| cerealkiller | posted 29-Jul-2009 6:39pm Yeah. When we lived in Tucson there were major thunderstorms. I think Tucson is one of the top places in the country for lightning which is strange since Tucson also has more hours of sunlight per year than anywhere else in major U.S. populated cities.
One night it was after midnight and no way could you sleep. The thunder and lightning went on forever. There were so many lightning strikes the whole sky would flash blue from all the ozone. Never saw that before or after my whole life. Once when we lived in Mississippi I went outside to the car to get something out of the trunk. A lightning bolt struck so close to me I could feel the electricity. Ran back in as fast as I could. |
| Irene007 | posted 29-Jul-2009 7:17pm Yes, especially if I'm not alone. |

| Enheduanna | posted 30-Jul-2009 2:53pm Sure. Especially when it's very hot and the thunderstorm rolling in promises to make it cooler. Not that this happens where I currently live. |

| cprasky | posted 1-Aug-2009 11:08am Yes. I like to watch them. Sometimes, I even like taking a walk in them. I have hitchhiked in them also, though that is not nearly as much fun as it might sound. |
| risingroad | posted 2-Aug-2009 12:22pm I LOVE thunderstorms! That old Druid Scottish / Norse blood in me! We had one heck of a storm last night that lasted 4 hours, hail as big as marbles (good thing I have a carport), electricity out, the neighbor hood lit up with candles and people outside watching. And ooooh... the sky! Absolutely stunning. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 2-Aug-2009 7:17pm Yes I do, but only from a safe place. |
| Wicksy | posted 6-Aug-2009 5:41am Apparently, if you find yourself in a large area outside during a thunderstorm, you should get on all fours with your bum as high as it can in the air.
My ex would be fine during one... |
| Zang | posted 16-Aug-2009 9:06am Sometimes, for a little while. |
