| Enheduanna | posted 27-Jul-2009 1:03pm I think I'm more of a pragmatist than a purist, generally speaking, but it depends on what the issue is. |
| Melf | posted 27-Jul-2009 1:27pm Purest? |
| autumnlight | posted 27-Jul-2009 1:50pm It really depends on the circumstances. I'm probably both, about different things. |
| LJD | posted 27-Jul-2009 4:34pm I believe a purest....need more e |
| LJD | posted 27-Jul-2009 4:42pm Well phooey, I started a sentence, and abstained, and it sent anyway...my error.
DEPENDS.....but believe generally speaking, I'm a purest, the way I understand it. |
| LindaH | posted 27-Jul-2009 5:28pm Pragmatist. |
| cerealkiller | posted 27-Jul-2009 6:54pm Definitions would be nice |
| FauxLo | posted 27-Jul-2009 7:49pm I like to think I've become a pragmatist in my old age. |
| southernyankee | posted 27-Jul-2009 9:04pm I roll each and every time I converse with a purist or any idealist of any kind. They don't know what they're talking about.
And btw, your survey is utterly, 100%, completely fudgeed up and doesn't make any sense. It is spelled "purist", not "purest". Your survey is hopelessly flawed!!!!!!!!!! |
| bill | posted 28-Jul-2009 7:04am Damn, that should have been Purist. |
| LindaH | (reply to bill) posted 28-Jul-2009 12:06pm I'm sure bill will fix that if you ask him to. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 28-Jul-2009 12:59pm Am I am obsessive idealist perfectionist? Yep.
On rare occasion, most especially when it doesn't involve me, I'm keen to see pragmatic solutions. |
| bill | (reply to LindaH) posted 28-Jul-2009 1:05pm He's probably too much of a purist to edit a survey like that. |
| LindaH | (reply to bill) posted 28-Jul-2009 1:34pm Threaten to sleep with his wife. |
| bill | (reply to LindaH) posted 28-Jul-2009 3:57pm That's a pragmatic solution! |
| Matty | posted 29-Jul-2009 8:27am Very much a pragmatist |
| Matty | (reply to southernyankee) posted 29-Jul-2009 8:28am 4 spelin'; that seams a bit harch. |
| coffee5437 | posted 31-Jul-2009 2:16pm I am not sure if I do well at being a purist but it most closely defines me. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 2-Aug-2009 9:05pm Other--I'm a traditionalist. |
| Biggles | posted 3-Aug-2009 7:07am I certainly have my ideals, but when it comes to real life I'm a pragmatist all the way. |
| southernyankee | (reply to Matty) posted 3-Aug-2009 8:39pm It is what it is. |
| Zang | posted 16-Aug-2009 9:07am I don't think that's a dichotomy. |
| mandy | posted 30-Aug-2009 2:53pm I'm a Puritan |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to mandy) posted 30-Aug-2009 11:55pm You dress like one. |
| mandy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 31-Aug-2009 2:52pm I do now |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to mandy) posted 31-Aug-2009 5:58pm Besides My Fair Lady and Oliver, weren't you into A Clockwork Orange? If so and still, there's a cable show called Curb you should check out (I only just saw episode 17). Really harsh. Continual take scenes in which you're pretty much in the eyes of that raped and beaten couple having head games played on you, trying to figure out if there's a way out. |
| mandy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 31-Aug-2009 8:36pm I've flown away from that...onward and upward
I love you |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to mandy) posted 1-Sep-2009 11:30pm Sounds good. So what are the the latest life themes? |
| mandy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 2-Sep-2009 12:42pm challenge
unconditional love trying to break out of my unhealthy marriage recovery and you? |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to mandy) posted 3-Sep-2009 3:18am School started, jewelry making, to help motivate me on making harmonicas and guitars.
The main thing lately is living in Lord of the Rings with distant family, being an elf minstrel hiking waterfalls. I avoided online gaming for a decade or so, knowing it would be addictive. I have to balance being a virtual jeweler and a real one. |
