| Crayons | posted 24-Jul-2009 4:45pm I don't have any tattoos. But some kid in my class got one at the end of the school year. It was on his leg. In my opinion it looked dumb, like he had been in a lake and came out with some ugly parasitic creature stuck to him. But what can I say, he thinks he's so cool now. |
| autumnlight | posted 24-Jul-2009 4:46pm No, I won't be getting a tattoo |
| cantilever | posted 24-Jul-2009 6:57pm My little tatt is discretely placed and has never given me a worry. |
| Enheduanna | posted 24-Jul-2009 8:26pm I have a tattoo and have not had any bad experiences with/about it. |
| EyesOfCharisma | posted 24-Jul-2009 9:40pm I have 2 on my forearm, a flower and a butterfly. She went too deep into my skin and the ink leaked into my muscle and all around the tattoo. It looks like I have a giant bruise around the tattoo. Also it has a bunch of scar tissue under it so it is raised in places.. really weird. |

| Galomorro | posted 24-Jul-2009 10:01pm The only thing "bad" would be that shortly after I got the tat I started liking another rockband more, so am stuck with a couple of outdated tats for life because sometimes people change... and tattoos are difficult to get rid of if you no longer want 'em. |
| EyesOfCharisma | (reply to Biggles) posted 24-Jul-2009 11:46pm yeah... The ink exploded under my skin... I will try to get a good picture of it. |

| LJD | posted 25-Jul-2009 2:38am I have no tattoo |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 25-Jul-2009 5:47am No. Never had one. I consider doing my own eventually. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to EyesOfCharisma) posted 25-Jul-2009 5:51am Thanks. From a photo it doesn't look as bad as it sounded.
I know I'd like brighter colors myself though. Were those once much brighter? Oh, after reloading the page the pictures are larger and now I see what you are talking about. Yeah, that's not good. I imagine it will mostly go away in a couple of years though. |
| they | posted 25-Jul-2009 7:56am No.
I have two tattoos. |
| they | (reply to EyesOfCharisma) posted 25-Jul-2009 8:00am When did you have those done?
Re: the scar tissue - I had the same look at first, which is why I ask. If that's a fairly new tattoo, I think it will get better. |
| gambler | posted 25-Jul-2009 8:51am I have tattoo's and I haven't had any bad experiences. |
| EyesOfCharisma | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 25-Jul-2009 11:01am No, these are the colors they are. I am going to try and get it fixed up a bit when I have money to go to a professional. I would like the colors to be brighter also. I think we are going to put some yellow through the flower to try and lighten it up. |
| EyesOfCharisma | (reply to they) posted 25-Jul-2009 11:03am It was done 3 months ago. I hope it will get better... The ink around and under the tattoo bugs me... It is actually worse in person. Looks like a bruise under the skin.. |
| cprasky | posted 25-Jul-2009 11:42am I have no tattoos. My son has been pestering me to get one. He wants to get one too. |
| Biggles | (reply to EyesOfCharisma) posted 25-Jul-2009 12:10pm Did you at least get your money back?
*edit* Just saw you had it done by a friend - still a friend? |
| EyesOfCharisma | (reply to Biggles) posted 25-Jul-2009 12:20pm Well... it's one of those friends who comes back in my life every year or so... We were friends since grade school. She told me she was tattooing (sp?) and she wanted to give me a tattoo. Ah well, that is life.. I will try to get it fixed up a bit when I have some spare money |
| Gomezy3k | posted 26-Jul-2009 11:28am Nope all mine have been ok. I have had friends who had problems but I think it was because they didn't take care of them correctly. |
| rustygirl50 | posted 27-Jul-2009 11:41am I have 4 and want a few more. |
| Melf | posted 27-Jul-2009 1:32pm I have an 'A' on my hip. Yes ma'am. And a few blobs elsewhere. |
| coffee5437 | posted 31-Jul-2009 5:24pm don't have any tattoos and don't want any. |
| cloudhugger | posted 2-Aug-2009 10:35am Just the one on the arm that smashed it's fist into my face. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Melf) posted 2-Aug-2009 10:38am Elsewhere? Did you misplace them? I guess I can go in and look for them for you if you want.

| mandy | posted 31-Aug-2009 3:01pm Since my tattoos are on me all the time...all my experiences...good and bad.....are had with my tattoos attached |
| Dino | posted 12-Sep-2009 7:06am One tattoo. Designed (and cherished) by Mandy.
No bad experience. No regrets. Enjoyed the process of getting it done. |
| mandy | (reply to Dino) posted 12-Sep-2009 1:38pm It's so perfect on you. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to mandy) posted 12-Sep-2009 9:47pm Is there any reason not to just get inks on eBay and do a fine tattoo one's self? |
| mandy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 12-Sep-2009 10:07pm There's a technique involved plus sterilization equipment and the pain might mess with the steady handed skills needed....
otherwise....why not? People in prison have some of the best work. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to mandy) posted 12-Sep-2009 10:56pm I did some piercings, a corseted labret, but the rings were rejected over a couple of weeks. I don't know if they weren't deep enough or that always happens.
If I did it again I would use curved needles, and maybe just one at a time. I invented a rapid tattoo color-fill technique using a sonic granulated-medicine air injector in combo with leather stencils. |
