Can you do anything when you are in the mood?

Ah, then you're from a place where the men are men and the cattle are nervous?

Actually, I'm from a place where the men are strong, the women are beautiful, and all of the children are above average....

Clearly not, or I would be some kind of invisible flying superwoman. However, having confidence in yourself and doing the appropriate preparation definitely makes it easier to succeed when in the realm of things that are possible.

Fly or walk through walls, but most anything that doesn't take rocket scientist training, yes.

Within reason. I don't think if I was in the mood to perform brain surgery, I'd do a good job.

Yes but I usually have to watch porn movies to get in the mood...

I would explore, I would try to learn, research....takes organization. Do anything? Physically no, mentally I'd try.

Ah, no. Mood doesn't help you understand concepts that you just don't have the mental capacity to figure out.

Mood can be a magic akin to beginners luck at the bowling alley, making things line up as happy accidents regarding concerns you are unaware of, to make that cake come out perfectly. In a lessor mood you can know of all the issues like temperature, clunking noises, proportions of egg-whites, consistency of whipping, and have your cake collapse anyhow.

I've learned to not even attempt eye shadow if I'm not in the right mood for it, as it seems to end up being a direct artful expression of one's mood no water how much scientific thought you give it.

I particularly see mood as a magic tool for opening up opportunities which cut corners, such that whatever is at hand seems even better for the job than what one might have rigorously sought.

Mood may even help one's ability to think like a surveyor, musician, gardener, or yacht captain.

What I am saying is that if your brain does not have the natural capacity to understand certain things, all the mood and right attitude you can muster isn't going to give you that ability. Imagine a special ed boy that can barely write his name. He might be in the mood to learn higher level math, but will that give him the brain power?

Maybe.

I know what you're saying, but mood still helps considerably. Amazing things are more likely to happen with some confident faith. On the other hand, make that egotistical confident faith, and that's when you can expect the corrolary, Murphy's Law, to kick in, making even the the most reasonable expectations impossible.

Sure, but only if it's a short-term goal. If it's long-term, I'd probably lose interest before realizing the task at hand.

It happens all the time. Something doesn't work the way it's suppose to so I get angry or frustrated and give up. But give me a day or a week or what ever and I will get in there and figure it out or actually read and follow the instructions. I just had a situation where I call a company help resource (in India) finally hung up on them. I had to restore my computer the next day (due to the help I got from India) and on the third day I re-installed the product and got it running.
