I'd say "sometimes" my life chose me (jobs I took of necessity), but at the same time I chose many other things for myself, like where I live, my hobbies, my music, clothes styles, etc. -- I'm a strong individualist and not influenced by other people, i.e., very nonconformist -- so most of it would be I chose my own. But I often didn't choose right, i.e., did not save enough when I was younger so I could own my own home, one thing I would really like to do. The main thing stopping me from doing ALL my chosen things is lack of money...

My choices made my life, but I was blessed to have the parents I have, a choice given to me. While some of my choices in life have not been good for me.

I was blessed with four wonderful children, and blessed with six grandchildren, and now one great granddaughter. I told my husband, God was good to us,...he gave us/me good spirits in the children.

Some of both, I think. I have made plenty of choices to get me here, but the fact that those choices were available to me was in part because I was born into a certain kind of life and raised a certain way.

Well, for right now, it chose me, pretty much. But since I'm 15, obviously that's how it is for the most part. But I have a lot of personalities and things going on that nobody knows where I got from. I'm independent, and I will only get more independent, so I think eventually I will say I chose my life.

A bit of both. I would say that forces beyond my control must have had more of an impact than any of my personal choices though. For example, being born at the end of the 20th Century in a Western industrialised nation that provides (largely) free education and healthcare was entirely out of my control, and decisions that I have made pale into insignificance when compared with the impact of those external factors.

I was designed for what I ended up doing as far back as I can recall. I chose what suited me.

Whethar or not I chose me is something I'm in no position to say currently.

Both. Some situations in your life are controlled by decisions you make - others happen to you whether you like them or not.

My life chose me. It sucked from the time I was dragged kicking and screaming from the womb and has gotten steadily worse. My shrink tells me that the personality and basically what you are is formed in the first year of life. Since I spent most of my first year in an orphanage, I never learned what love was, or what emotions were and did not bond with anyone. Unfortunately this has carried on till now.
