How much offense do you take if someone insulted your mother, relatively speaking?

no more or less than another insult, my mom is dead so maybe i would be a little more upset because you went out of your way to insult a dead person!!

My mom has been dead for many years so it's not likely anyone would "insult" her unless maybe as a joke.

I don't think it would be more or less than for another sort of insult, although it would depend on what specifically was said or done.

If it was specifically aimed at my mother, then I would be very offended. If it was a more generalised "yo momma" sort of comment, then I wouldn't be offended at all. A lot would depend on whether the person in question actually knew my mother.

I don't like insults period....and I wouldn't take kindly to anyone who insulted my parents, or any of my family.

Curious. My mother has been dead for more than twenty years. I'd be curious as to how they'd react after I let them know of that fact.

I don't take offense, I simply recognize the motivation to cause outrage, and dismiss it for what it is...

Oh this soo depends on whether or not they know my mother.!
If they knew her, and they insulted her, I would be very much offended and I would have to step up and angrily say something. (No one calls her names unless they were raised by her, it isn't right)
If they did not know my mother than the insults are merely gas passing throught the face end.

That's what I was thinking. My mother herself would laugh at the yo momma stuff.

No offense intended, but for example ---
Your mama's feet are so big, she has to walk to the end of the street just to turn around.
Your mama's so ugly she has to sneak up on a water fountain to get a drink.
Or, your mama's so ugly that when she was born, the doctor slapped her face.

No more or less than any other insult... and it depends on the insult, some I would just laugh off... And since the old gal went belly up years ago, really doesn't matter anyway...

Whoever is saying it are only after a response, in the hope of getting you into trouble. If you get annoyed, they are satisfied.
