| autumnlight | posted 21-Jun-2009 11:16am Food, no question. Eating and preparing food is a hobby for me, not just for when I'm hungry. |
| Enheduanna | posted 21-Jun-2009 11:37am Electricity would probably be the most difficult to work around. Clothing would make me the saddest, though, because I really like clothes. But maybe I'd have fun swapping and remaking things. |

Me loves to take long showers everyday, drive to places (preferably driving aggressively), and my airconditioning. I rarely buy new cloths and I could use a little less food and (hopefully) even lose weight. |

| Irene007 | (reply to labjog) posted 22-Jun-2009 2:55pm Uh.... Now it's a beer! I'm painting my deck and it's hot as hell so I thought I would cool down a bit in my office and chech out SC! |
| jettles | posted 22-Jun-2009 11:04pm i think i could do pretty well with all of these but i guess water would be the hardest! |
| coffee5437 | posted 25-Jun-2009 3:39pm I must have electricity for internet! I am sure I would be completely tramatized w/o it.
But seriously, Matthew 6:25-34 "...27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? ...34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." |

I guess that would be food. i can make something last a long time, the trouble is eating it before it gets rotten. Alot of stuff goes rotten because I don't eat it. So what's the point? Canned beans even go rotten in my house. I had a can of tomato sauce I stuck the can opener in it and as soon as it broke the metal lid, tomato sauce started spraying out full force until I could cover it and stick it in the sink. It loked like a freaking blood bath in the kitchen. I was covered, the floors and so on. Nasty. the date was about 2005, it still should have been good, so I don't know what the hell happened there. |
| LindaH | posted 28-Jun-2009 12:53am Possible companion survey: Which of these would you have the most trouble rationalizing? |
| batko | posted 2-Jul-2009 4:38am I'm a student but unlike most students I live as spartan a life as I can bear because my parents do not supply me with any additional money. I'm incredibly thorough in my weekly analysis of what i need to buy as opposed to what I want to buy. Electricity would be the most difficult, I guess I would try and revert as much as possible to solid fuel fires, but electricity powers so many of the comforts and essentials of modern life- lighting, heating, telecommunications, computers. All the other stuff can be procured by some applied thinking. You can grow and hunt food yourself, cut down on fuel by not using a car, as for clothes- I lived off friend's hand-downs as a kid so I don't see why as adults we can just swap stuff around. I mean how many pairs of trousers do you really need? Especially if the world's gone to pot. |
