What would you do if you do if you received a prank phone call and someone blows/breathes heavy into the phone?

I would probably get a good laugh out of it...wondering if it was one of my friends, probably someone I know online. I've gotten a number of random prank phone calls on my business line.

Hang up.

Hang up. However, this has never happened to me and these days I don't have a phone.

I'd probably just hang up. They want to get a rise out of you, so why play into that?

This happened to me about 23 years ago, and I grabbed for the whistle and blew it into the phone, the caller hung up before I did, and s/he never called me back.

What? Did you test this out on me first?

Yesterday, I had a call from "private caller" who breathed at me. I'm starting to get a little paranoid because I have a work stalker.

I'd probably screw with them for a bit, then get bored with it and hang up.

I would just wait - chances are they'd get bored before I would.

I might try *69 to see if I can at least note the number from which the call was made.

something else. I would not automatically assume the call is a prank. Heavy breathing may indicate a friend is in trouble and needs my help.
If it is determined it is a prank...we used to blow a whistle...but being as how I lost my whistle I would probably wing it and goof around with them. Prank them back like asking them to hang on a moment and get my cat and squeeze him lightly till he meows real lous in their ear or something.

What kind of a phone do you have that you can "slam it" down?

Oh boy, if we prank each other we may be on the phone for hours.

Same thing I do to telemarketers. Put my phone up to the smoke alarm and push the test button.

Hey breathe back... and ask them what they are wearing and make sounds like I am self gratifying...

This has happened to me a few times. Usually, I just hang up but once I put it down on the table and carried on with what I was doing. Let them run up their phone bill breathing while no-one is listening. I checked about 10 minutes later and they had hung up.

I'd go along with it and breathe heavily, right back. and have a good time. see if they keep it up and still have fun. then thank them, and hang up.

I'd just use this little plastic foghorn I bought, & blow it into the phone.

Just hang up, I guess. If they did it more than once, then I would make a loud noise.
