Anywhere you go. A bar is out, because most people are too looped to remember, I assume. Everywhere in general. Internet sites, I'd say no because you don't really know a person until you're with them. The best I'd say is church, grocery store, school, work.

Needs an "Other" option: During outdoor activities. Often when on group nature walks, in my experience, people get to talking and get to know each other for the first time -- or better -- this way. Some walks have been geology walks, a butterfly walk, wildflower walks, trailwalks in various forests, etc.

"Other": Grabbing them from behind in a dark alley.

It depends on who you are. A devout Muslim might not want to meet someone in a bar. A Satanist is unlikely to find someone at a Church.

Um, at least for me..church..I've noticed that people are really nice and awesome at church.

Anywhere except at work, because I hear that causes tension, might be against the rules, I don't know. That depends on the job.
