| LindaH | posted 27-May-2009 8:34pm No I'm not sick of it, because I don't watch enough TV to notice. |
| dab | posted 27-May-2009 8:37pm I see some version of A Christmas Carol perhaps every five or six years. That's not too much. |
| Galomorro | posted 27-May-2009 9:06pm Yes, from the first time I halfway watched it years ago. No desire to ever see it again. |
| llamamama | posted 27-May-2009 10:13pm In May I think of nothing more than holiday traditions I can't stand. Gawd I think turkey is disgusting. |
| Strider | posted 27-May-2009 11:31pm I like the muppet one, but the best has to be Blackaders. |
| cerealkiller | posted 28-May-2009 12:32am No, but are you sick of A Christmas Story (Ralphie)? It plays for 24 hours continuously on tv every Christmas. |
| milz98 | posted 28-May-2009 6:28am I never liked it but i still watch it over and over at Christmas |
| bill | posted 28-May-2009 7:25am I actually have this mini-quest to track down a version of it that I saw when I was a kid which had some freaky imagery. It was this scene where Scrooge is talking with The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come and he brings Scrooge to an open grave then Scrooge falls in and goes to Hell. It left and impression on me. I think it's a version of the story with a lot of singing. |
| icurok | posted 28-May-2009 8:29am No. Should I be?
May seems an odd time to do this survey, |

| jettles | posted 28-May-2009 8:37am not any more or less than any other holiday movie or cartoon! |
| bill | (reply to icurok) posted 28-May-2009 8:46am I just watched it, great stuff and only a little bit of singing. Not nearly as scary as I remember, but alas. I love the cinematic depiction of Hell. It even has Obi-Wan as Jacob Marley! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! |
| they | From the comments under the video:
"He is so convinsing in the redemtion seen" Thanks for the link, I enjoyed the clip. I thought it was odd that he didn't know the walls were hot until he actually touched his finger to it. Maybe in hell, you don't feel heat unless you TOUCH it. |
| bill | (reply to they) posted 28-May-2009 10:32am Yeah, touching the hot stalagmite seemed a bit cartoonish. The big chain was a bit silly too. |
| they | (reply to bill) posted 28-May-2009 10:38am The guys carrying the chain were kind of hot though. |
| bill | (reply to they) posted 28-May-2009 10:53am SLUT! |
| dpurdy33 | posted 28-May-2009 11:20am Love it!!! My favorite holiday movie. To those who don't like it "humbug!!" |
| they | (reply to bill) posted 28-May-2009 11:46am It's just been a while.... |
| Matty | posted 28-May-2009 12:37pm I still enjoy it from time to time |
| Enheduanna | posted 28-May-2009 12:38pm Not really. It's not like it comes up at all for most of the year. |
| bill | (reply to they) posted 28-May-2009 12:39pm aw... |
| Crayons | posted 28-May-2009 3:46pm I first started getting sick of it in 7th grade, when we read it in November. Then, my dad bought the DVD, and I was only able to get through half of it. But he was probably asleep so he probably didn't notice me walk away. |
| Melf | posted 29-May-2009 3:24am No, because that would be unnecessary |
| Crayons | (reply to cerealkiller) posted 29-May-2009 4:06pm I first saw that one only two years ago, so I'm not sick of it yet, but I might be, eventually. |
| cprasky | (reply to they) posted 30-May-2009 2:05pm That's cuz the only way you would agree to meet me was in a public restaraunt fully dressed, remember? |
| they | (reply to cprasky) posted 30-May-2009 2:34pm |
| Cain | posted 30-May-2009 6:08pm Nah, the muppets version was great. |
| meowry | posted 31-May-2009 12:59am No. But I'm sick of people trying to recreate it.
"A Christmas Carol" is a classic. But, SOME people want to ruin it. Let it be! |
| Biggles | posted 31-May-2009 7:35pm I just read it a few months ago - not my favourite Dickens, but fairly readable. |
| Gomezy3k | posted 2-Jun-2009 1:40pm I am sick of the whole Christmas thing in general... All that fake happiness and good cheer makes me want to puke... I do put up my inflatable grinch and put out the "Bah Humbug" door matt ... |
| cloudhugger | posted 8-Jun-2009 2:52am yes indeed. the only one I can tolerate is the original black and white movie. All the remakes need to take a christmas vacation. |
| autumnlight | posted 24-Jun-2009 4:45pm I'm sick of Dickens in general - I really don't care for his work at all. |
