What would you name a brand new number?

As we all know, numbers go on forever. The largest number we have so far is the googol. It is a one followed by a hundred zeroes. So, what is a thousand googols? It's unclaimed and untouched, so you can name it whatever you want.

If we were naming new digits: trib, shol, veek, pank, yarl, jizz, and lurp.

I already use the term 'phrazillion' for really immense numbers.

see also: googolplex

Just the other day, I was recalling a time in my childhood when a friend and I discovered these big numbers (specifically "google" and "googleplex"). We must have seen some PBS show about math together. Anyway, we were young boys. So, we kept trying to outdo each other.. "Mine is a google!" ... "Oh yeah, well mine is a googleplex!" ... "That's nothing, mine is a google times a googleplex" ...and, so on.

Even when I was 5, there were clear signs of serious geekiness.

So the chief of staff walks into Obama's office and says, "Sir, last night in Iraq two Brazillian officers were killed." Obama thinks about it for a minute, furrows his brow in concern and replies, "Just how many is a brazillian?"

Humph, I'm British so I'd rather name a googol googols (1 and 10,000 zeroes?). I'll name it a gloogle.

A googolplex is the number 10googol, which can also be written as the number 1 followed by a googol of zeros (i.e. 10100 zeros). So there is a number higher than a googol...
