Is your family so unemotional that everyone seems robotic?

Stiff, uncaring, removed, unfeeling...you know what I mean if you live in this sort of immediate and/or extended family. I do and it is absolutely maddening. Family members send little facial messages behind your back to others, etc. No one will confront another...just brush under rug and talk behind back. Sickening! Unhealthy! Or am I wrong?

LJD	posted 18-May-2009 11:44pm I don't have this type of family environment, but I can imagine it would be very uncomfortable. Family should be there to comfort, look out for one another, give emotionally support . I told my children and grandchildren, upon my death, to please continue to be close, carry on the family togetherness, be loving, and keep the faith. My granddaughters, daughters are having our luncheon next week, something I always look forward to, time with them. I feel perhaps the Patriarch, or Matriarch of the family should come forward, depending on the seriousness of the issue, and try to work things out with the parties involved.

bill	posted 19-May-2009 8:07am I'm not really into my family. I might be more into them if they were robots. The whole talking behind your back thing sucks, though. I didn't realize robots did that. Fudging robots!

Crayons	posted 19-May-2009 6:22pm Nah, we're mostly just constantly pissed off when we are near each other, it's mostly quiet, unless my mother is criticizing something, or someone. In fact, it's never quiet.

cloudhugger	posted 23-May-2009 5:57pm My mom is mostly hyper emotional, deadly silence when angry or non stop illogical things to be pissd at and over emphasizing the audacities. It's a very non functional in the emotions catagory.
